"Great location in the heart of Avalon. Walking distance to everything. Very accommodating with keeping luggage and allowing use of amenities before and after checkout to accommodate ferry arrival and departures."

"It was a very cute and quaint place to stay. We arrived when staff was at lunch, so our keys were set out at the front desk for us. The room was charming. However, work was being done on the patio, and a worker was using a loud sander. I do understand that upkeep needs to be done from time to time. Also, there was no indication that we would have to walk up a big hill to get to the property. People should be aware that it is easier to pay for a golf cart taxi to take you and your luggage up the hill. Also, the most frustrating part of the stay was that there was a loud, disorienting noise coming from the wall in the middle of the night that lasted on and off for about 20 minutes. It interrupted my sleep."

"I booked a luxury suite with two beds and a large room through Expedia, but upon arrival, the room, while nice, had only one bed and a sofa bed, and was much smaller than advertised. The staff were wonderful, though: since I was traveling with my senior parents, they kindly moved us to a larger room, though it still came with a sofa bed that wasn't very comfortable. That said, the location is fantastic and the staff are amazing — I'll definitely stay here again and very soon. The lesson learned is simply not to book through Expedia next time. A couple of tips: bring earplugs, as there are bars nearby and things can get loud at night with people out late. I'd also recommend requesting a room on the 3rd or 4th floor to avoid the noise upstairs. (No elevators so be prepared to take stairs but it's totally doable, my 80 YO dad with back ache was able to comfortably go up and down to the 3rd floor. )"
