We were 2 couples staying at Calm Waters. The house was a perfect size for us. I thought it was super cute inside- very beachy and bright. Comfy blankets in every room, plenty of towels, both bathroom and beach, a lot of kitchen equipment etc. I would definitely bring extra toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags. You are only provided with 1 or 2 extra of each and that definitely doesn't last long with a group. The dock was perfect to hang out on all day- I brought 2 beach chairs down there, popped a paddle board in the water, and it was a super peaceful area to relax. You get plenty of sun out there until the afternoon. The Adirondack chairs on the deck were great to hang out in as well. We didn't use the outdoor shower- it was full of spider webs and the bugs were out in full force, so we stayed out of it. We used the charcoal grill once- heads up, there's no grill equipment and we didn't know until we got it going so we had to improvise. Bring a metal spatula and tongs with you if you plan to grill. One of the guys had picked up a grate scrubber thing, so we were able to at least clean it. The grill also was moldy and had to be cleaned out when we opened it up.
Our only other issues were having to clean up dead bugs all over the house on the floor as soon as we walked in and having to clean off all the outdoor furniture as it was covered with dirt, bird droppings, and spider webs. Vacasa was very responsive about this- but having to spend an hour and a half cleaning as soon as I got there wasn't ideal, especially for what we paid.
Overall, it was the perfect spot- 5-10 minutes from a lot of restaurants, super close to the Coast Guard base, which was what we needed, and a very quiet and relaxing spot right on the water.
We would definitely recommend and stay here again.
