「Spa excellent」

「I stayed here for my last day in Costa Rica (my first day in Costa Rica, I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott right next door). Do yourself a favor and skip the Courtyard. The Fairfield was by far a superior hotel from the condition of the property to the staff. The staff there was very efficient and helpful. 「I plan on returning. The hotel is nestled in the heart of San Jose, it's a huge property. I chose it for the decor/culture of Costa Rica. I swam in a pristine Olympic sized pool, I saw several iguanas, and I don't know how many bird species and in the ceiling of my room, what I thought was a mouse, was actually a bird nest with new hatchlings, which was a bit disturbing when I was sleeping. 「This hotel is what you need if you're flying into San Jose and then heading off elsewhere. It's right opposite all the car rental places and has regular free shuttles to the airport. I had booked another place on the way home and switched it to this one as it is sooo convenient, clean and breakfast was very decent. 」

「Eden Atenas seemed a bit in the middle of nowhere, when we arrived in the dark - and it was very dark. But when we woke up the morning we were surrounded by the most beautiful jungle gardens, a gorgeous pool, such a kind caretaker who made a gorgeous simple breakfast where we watched hummingbirds. Eden. Just like it says. There isn't anywhere exciting to go outside the compound but inside it's a magical retreat. Someone should write a great novel there.」
