「The apartment was very clean, spacious, and arranged perfectly. The oceanview was great. The amenities in the resort were nice and the front staff staff were very nice and helpful, even though we checked in via VRBO and not as regular guest. The walk down to the beach was too steep for us to try it twice (not young enough) but there are several beaches just a short drive away. Totally recommend.」

「Overall a very nice place. The atmosphere was very peaceful and homey. My recommendations would be more towels provided. There was a set of two per person, which, if you set aside one set for after the hot tub use, you are down to one, which after daily hikes outside, is not the best for a stay greater than 3 days. My other thought was for better signage to find the unit. It is a sharp right and down hill from the primary residence, which can be hard to see from the driveway leading in....

「From the moment we drove up the tree lined driveway, we knew we had chosen the right spot. The Quail’s Nest was perfect for our get away. Clean, well stocked, and not too far from the lake where family was camping. Communication with the owners was easy. Response time was quick! We would definitely return. 5 stars? No problem! 「Nice clean quiet condo. Well located in the village area of mammoth with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Underground parking also a plus especially when there is snow. Easy check in and out via email instruction. Only issue was with the TV because it was not connected to the internet. Once I figured out how to reconnect it via password provided it worked fine」

「The property is GORGEOUS. My husband and I got married in Alabama hills and he and my family and I rented both the east and west wind properties. The location is beautiful and the outdoor bathtubs are worth the stay alone. My only change would be to fully enclose the toilet in the west wind and put up glass in the shower to keep in the steam/heat. Even then, it’s still an amazing property. 」

"This was the worst tent I've ever stayed in. The quilt was incredibly thin and filthy—essentially a sleeping bag-like blanket, with numerous stains, including a dark red one that looked like blood... disgusting. The blanket was also incredibly dirty and black. It was freezing cold at night. I stayed in my down jacket, curled up in it, unable to fall asleep for ages! The tent had three windows that let in drafts... even with my clothes on, I could still feel the wind on my head... I only managed about three or four hours of light sleep... At 4 a.m., the neighbor's alarm went off... followed by the sound of the bear box door opening... and at 5 a.m., another neighbor's alarm went off... For $182 a night, I'd be better off sleeping in my car!"
