“We loved the pool and the location. The house was beautiful and our room was too. However, the listing on Expedia says there is “free” offsite parking 0.3 miles away. When we arrived the spots on the property were full so I took the parking suggestion sent in my guidebook and headed to the 34 St Phillips Street Parking Garage. When I got there I found out that parking was in fact not free, but $1 per 20 minutes with a maximum of $24. I was willing to pay this, but was disappointed because I……

“This was the perfect landing spot for our long weekend in Charleston. Our host was always quickly responsive and helpful. Off street parking, pool, and AC were all fabulous. The neighborhood is filled with GREAT local coffee shops and restaurants, and downtown was a nice walk or very quick drive/Uber away. Highly recommend for folks looking for a clean, comfy, launchpad for a long weekend out and about exploring and enjoying Charleston.”

“This was a very cute historical space in a good price range and a great location for Charleston. We were able to walk to everything in the historic corner, many shelves and restaurants, museums, etc.. The kitchen house is in the back of a beautiful old home, historically it would have been the kitchen for the main house where servant quarters were above the kitchen. There were many historical furnishings in the home, but yet it continued to many modern inconveniences. It was the perfect amount……

“Place is great. As advertised. You do share an interior door with the family that owns the house. This can not be locked. I would definitely stay here again!One word of caution for older individuals. There are two flights of exterior stairs to get for the apartment and then the living quarters are on the next floor. Navigating this with heavy luggage could be problematic.”

“We traveled to Charleston to attend our daughter's wedding. We could see The Carolina Girl, her venue, from Rob and Zack's backyard! This house is so spectacular and their hosting is so casual and comfortable that I can't believe anyone would not be glad they chose it. It was dark and quiet--so glad I didn't choose a place in town--so our sleep was deep and uninterrupted. Zack's omelet in the morning was 5-star hotel stuff and we were close to every sort of restaurant for other meals. We used……

“Air conditioning not working 3/5 -upside- fun and great views, breakfast was yummy, cookies wonderful, fun happy hour with fun wine. I loved the ride/beach chairs/umbrella. Loved that the balcony was screened in to keep out the bugs. Downfall- The AC was out down stairs and all that was said was “AC is out downstairs…sorry” on a sign on the front desk.
