Great stay at the Sheep, made even better by the amazingly helpful Holly who arranged last minute transport and access to rooms. Rooms clean and comfy. Great location and has its own car park. Would stay again if in that part ofnthe world.

Although the bar/restaurant was closed arrangements were made for breakfast at their sister property across the road. Everyone was very helpful the room was spotless and well equipped. Very warm Welcome from the receptionist and the beautiful dog!

Didn't disappoint
As always lovely stay. Come here about 3 or 4 times a year and it doesn't disappoint. Food lovely and staff welcoming.

Lovely boutique hotel
Lovely boutique hotel with very friendly and attentive staff. I'd also really recommend eating in the restaurant - the team were lovely and the food delicious. Will definitely be booking again.

Xmas day in the sheep
My fillet steak dinner and service for Xmas Day was fantastic, my husbands Turkey dinner was mediocre, he was very disappointed. The room was boiling hot hence the low score for eco friendly. although a dog friendly hotel, which we didn't mind, i think the dog rooms should be separate from other non dog people as we had what seemed to be a dog each side of us which was barking whenever we moved in or near our room, bedroom window had a faulty handle, and the bath wasn't 100% clean, and the toilet flush was poor. we were in room 21. we were a bit surprised that there was a £20 enforced service charge on the meal, as we'd paid £200 for it, even though we would have left a decent tip, we weren't asked first - but in fairness it may have been in the Ts&Cs

Wonderful staff and beautiful room. Live music on the patio on the first day, and super staff that went out of their way to be helpful and kind. Great food in their restaurant for dinner. And the breakfasts were awesome.

No help was offered to help take luggage up two flights of curved stairs. No wardrobe, no drawers. Hairdryer had to be requested. Tissues stuffed into gaps in wall. Bathroom in need of updating. Toilet stained. Carpet frayed. When we couldn’t find the hotel, no one either reception nor bar answered our telephone calls. Definitely not worth our money.

When we arrived at the hotel, staff couldn't of been more friendly, very welcoming and informative, rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. If you are staying at the weekend and wish to eat at the hotel don't leave until you check in, we checked in at 2.45 slightly before time and was only because reception said to book asap we asked and they only had 6pm or 8.15pm which shows how popular the restaurant is and didn't disappoint. Also if you arrive at checkin time at thw weekend you may not be able to park in car park as very small however left it a few hours and was able to park. Rooms are beautiful we had one downfall that there was a water pipe above our bed so you could hear the running water from the room upstairs but after mentioning this to reception we were able to move rooms. Was a lovely weekend would definitely recommend to anyone.

Lovely building and excellent restaurant and food. Member of staff on reception kept us waiting for 10 minutes to check in while serving another customer without any apology for the wait or acknowledgement we were waiting. Smoke detector in room covered in tape and shower door not secure.

Friendly and welcoming
We only stayed over night but the room, although a little tired, was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower was hot and powerful enough. We had a lovely breakfast in the restaurant and all the staff we encountered were polite, friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.
