I had to leave before the 8am breakfast so can’t comment, but staff very kindly left me a bag of croissants & jam outside the door. As a lone woman I also felt safe here. Co-op was a short walk away."

"I have stayed at the Hunters Rest for 2 nights a fortnight for over a year. The staff are really friendly. My room (contemporary four-poster) was lovely - way cheaper than an average room in a city centre hotel. The food is delicious pub food. It’s in a beautiful location away from the crowds but with a local clientele. Really can’t say anything negative."
