“A wonderful place to stay. A fantastic old building with so much character and lovely country views. Bedrooms very comfortable with great attention to detail and well thought through. Excellent breakfast and a good menu for dinner - well presented and very tasty. The highlight though were the staff throughout. It's such a pleasure to receive genuine excellent customer service from start to finish. Thank you.”

“On first arriving to this hotel all seemed well, staff member was polite, explained all we needed to know and helped us to our room, once in the room we noticed that it needed to be maintained better as there was cracked tiles in the bathroom, frayed carpet areas, paint chips and marks on the doors. The furniture such as the dressing table is bubbled up and the tv remote was dirty also. The bed was very hard and left me with a very painful back, the pillows were flat and so had to fold them to……

“Lovely room, lots of useful amenities including Nespresso machine as well as kettle, bathrobes, etc. Comfortable bed. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely continental breakfast. Just a few comments, only a low stool, no chair in room, no wardrobe, just 3 hooks and 4 clothes hangers, bathroom had nowhere to put washbasin, and towels on rail high on wall above loo, so difficult to get to. We understand the hotel has only just been refurbished so staff said they would pass these comments……
