We enjoyed our stay very much. Location was perfect! We were amazed at how private this place was while being in a neighborhood setting. LOVED the back screened in porch!!The house could use some work, but nothing that got in the way of our enjoyment.

We spent a great two weeks at Shackeau. We love sitting on the screened porch looking out at the beautiful view of the channel. You can't see any of the houses around you, so it is like your own private paradise. Seaside Vacations staff is very friendly and responsive. When a screen blew in one night, they came out right away to fix it. If they are not going to fix the fireplace so that you can use it, they should remove that from the listing. This cottage is perfect for two people. We rode our bikes to the beach everyday to avoid the crowds.

The best view possible! House was clean, cute and tastefully decorated. Very few homes are actually waterfront, so this cottage is a dream. Big enough for just 2 adults, perfect couples retreat. Great location to walk or bike to Assateague!

Lovely location!

We had an amazing stay at this spot. Being on the water was such a treat, very close to everything including the park with the horses and lots of wilderness to explore. The home is very nicely decorated with local character and the communication was excellent. Highly recommend!

Nice little house in a beautiful spot

Older house with new floors and paint. Small kitchen that we didn't use much. The living/dining area is pleasant and comfortable. It was too cold to use the screened porch but it looks like a nice place to spend some time. The view of Assateague is beautiful and the setting is quiet and private.

Cozy n Amazing Sunrises

Three nights, me and my hubby. Found the property easily. Clean. Decorated and comfortable. Disappointed that we didn’t have access to a working fireplace. Would have been nice on a cool windy evening but otherwise nice n warm. Loved the huge front deck wrapped myself in a quilt and read in the sunshine enjoying the peace and water view.

Wonderful Location

Cute cottage perfect for 2 people. Beautiful views of the bay/waterway across from the nature reserve. Lots of birds to see from property/screened in porch. Walking distance to a couple restaurants but also a close drive to Main Street (restaurants and shopping). Short drive or bike to nature reserve and beach. We greatly enjoyed our stay and already booked the cottage for a week next fall.
