“The service was okay they were kind, but Nothing was available for use except the pool which was freezing, sauna was out of order, so was the gym, the continental breakfast was lacking no cream cheese for the bagels, basically just bread. On the ad it said room service (food service), but what it meant was cleaning service. There was a ton of ants in the room also. The first night there we had no TV/Internet. Hopefully it's just in a transition period or something. I wouldn't stay here again……

“One of the best stays my husband and I have experienced in our entire lives. The property is beautiful, filled with life and history. It's incredibly cozy and comfortable, we both slept well. Breakfast was delicious and we didn't need lunch either day. Tippy is a lovely host cat with fluffy pantaloons and Sir Ellis, the delightful black and white cat, ensured that we never forgot where our room was. We had wonderful conversations and felt as though we were stepping into the home of beloved……

“Staff was all helpful and kind for the most part. Their spa I would not recommend at all. Had a horrible first time experience at a couples massage. Was asked at the beginning of massage if there were problem areas to focus on. I told my therapist my forearms. When I brought up at the end of my massage that my forearms were in pain (because they had not been touched and I didn’t want to be rude) her response was “well I guess you need to get more massages”. The woman my girlfriend had was nice……

“Okay, so I hope this is the most honest review for this place, I'll start with the good. Front desk staff was there past midnight for a very late check in, very friendly staff who do a great job explaining everything, free breakfast, not the worst hotel I've been to, honestly for the price and in a pinch you can't beat it. CRITICAL: cleanliness is not good, AC/heating unit did not seem to work, curtains were broken, you can see many places the room needs to be remodeled (chipped bathroom door……
