“We had a very enjoyable stay at Sugar Bay Barbados, thanks largely to its fantastic location, great food, and excellent staff, though there are a few areas that could be improved. The location is brilliant, with a beautiful beachfront setting, and the watersports were great, adding real value to the stay. Drinks across the hotel were very good, and the buffet food was superb, offering excellent quality and variety. A special mention goes to the staff in the Reef restaurant, who were amazing,……

“This resort is amazing and very beautiful! I enjoyed my stay here for my birthday. The staff there are really nice and helpful. Immediately when you come in, the pool, the bar, and the beach is right ahead. Everyday I walked along the beach. The rooms are clean and very quiet. The staff was able to accommodate me with a 1st level room. My room had everything- microwave, fridge, couch, table. My patio had direct access to the pool area, which was nice. Next time I come to Barbados, I will stay……

“The resort is super small. No beach access. The closest beach is filled with seaweed. Only 1 small pool. 1 dining area. Bring your own washcloths. They don't supply them. They ran out of towels and gave pool towels for the rooms. 1 bar. Pool closed at 6pm. Dinner ended at 8:30pm. No vending machines or room service so after 8:30 no food. Two occupant room only 1 card key given. The staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be with their restricted abilities. The room was nice and……

“Everything was renovated,beach was not useful was wavy couldn’t swim since June was winter rainy season which I was disappointed because I was there’s for te beach.room refrigerator was never filled with drink not even a single day horrible.small hotel, half the side of hotel was used.Food was horrible same everyday just 1 restaurant opened, 1 everyday 3 days.The only good side staff was nice and the expensive room ocean from that I paid more the rest bla bla”

“40th Anniversary stated at booking, never acknowledged until I mentioned last night of our stay. Luggage took awhile so we headed out to eat. Met our luggage in the elevator unattended riding the floors. Luggage should never be unattended, no excuse. Service was extremely rude at Dino's Fri afternoon and French crepe Cafe Sunday evening. French restaurant Brian (our waiter) and Ryan C were both excellent. Several guest were sharing rudeness and lack of service at swim up pool bar and other……

“It was perfection. The location, all the helpful staff, the cleanliness, and the modern features. The staff including Sherika, Princess, Lana, and everyone else were pleasant, helpful, kind, and polite. I have no complaints, we had a great time and highly recommend this hotel.”

“Great location for a short trip. The breakfast was perfect option to start the day. Was our first time to Barbados and we’re already adding it to the rotation of vacations to return to. Staff was wonderful, drinks were cold. Only thing that was upsetting is the “beach” isn’t accessible at all. It’s roped off and no way you can swim at the property.”

“The Soco Hotel was a clean property. The room was very clean and cleaned daily. The bathroom was in need of an upgrade....very outdated! The hotel is said to be all-inclusive but the bar shuts down at 10:30 nightly. I was under the impression that at an all-inclusive hotel the bar and the restaurant would have some availability past 10:30 p.m. for late night-night owls.
