The room was so bad it smelled like pee,the toilet didn’t work or flush , the water in the bathroom was boiling hot there was no cold water at all couldn’t even take a shower went to the front desk to complain numerous of times to the tall puertorican girl act like she was reporting it to send maintenance the 3 times i went to the desk they never showed up i will never stay at this hotel again it was so uncomfortable then i ask for another room they said they was book up when i book the room days ago i get there they said they had no rooms available so they had to find one then they gave me the room that was so bad

The property looked good when you enter, but once you look around the place looked worn. Our bathtub was like a bouncy house, which is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Looks like water damage on the wood and even the picture hanging above the toilet looked like there was a little water damage. There were also a couple used condoms in the parking lot. The music was blaring in the morning throughout the lobby.

The hotel needs updates when the room was dirty . Hair in the shower centipedes crawling in the ceiling. The worst experience ever at Wyndham hotel people smoking weed in the hallways and outside felt like rehab hotel for drug user will not recommended this place to anyone

Stayed for a night. The price was cheap so I can’t complain much. I arrived a little upset, however, because the pool and hot tub were advertised as in working condition and was a big reason I chose this location over others and when I arrived the pool was drained completely and the hot tub wasn’t in working condition. I felt a little deceived because of this. Other than that, the place was clearly in poor shape and was quite dirty. My room atleast was fairly clean, except for the bathroom, which wasn’t cleaned very well (floors and bathtub were pretty gross). It served its purpose tho and I felt pretty safe while staying there and the staff were great, so that counts for something I guess.

We’re entering the hotel, there was a gentleman there who you could tell what’s under mental distress. He was talking to himself, pacing the floor. I asked the staff member was she OK oh, and was he OK? She says yes that he’s always there he’s no bother. I understand the fact that you would not want to put someone out if it’s inclement weather. But also you have to remember that you’re running a business, and not all guests will be comfortable with walking in with a person that is experiencing some type of mental health issues being there in the lobby. Also, the rooms were not clean. They were very worn and old. Serious updates. Need to be done to this hotel.

pool wasn’t functioning, didn’t say this anywhere online. we arrived at 4:10 to check in and didn’t get a room til 5:30 because they were still cleaning and behind, no compensation for this. bought breakfast at the time of booking for $6 a person i believe, then when we arrive to our breakfast they’re super rude and say it’s $14 a person and then because we arrived 15 before they close up breakfast they rushed us through the whole thing and made us take it to go…. very rude kitchen staff!

Water was hot with good water pressure. Staff was nice. Room was dirty, with no shampoo conditioner, etc. but there were shampoo/conditioner brackets (where the bottles once attached) still on the wall. Mildew, wallpaper coming off the walls, broken towel holders, no hair dryer, stains on couches & sheets... Hall ceilings leaking with buckets under them... generally just not a very clean upkept place.

Had to get my room switched because my first room has blood on the bed and sheets. Mold filled the closet and bathroom. The bathroom was dirty, hasn’t been cleaned. Hair was in the shower (an lot) and bowel stains in toilet. No towels and wash clothes. This was a king size bed. One room. Then was switched to another room. The sheets were covered with male beard hair or you know what… had to get new sheets. The fridge froze my food. All of it. They had only 2 working staff, breakfast was cold and dry, the hall trash cans were all full, pool was out so my kid was disappointed. Didn’t even look like anyone was trying to clean/fix it. Hot tub was out as well. The pictures shown is NOT what it looks like. The worse experience. I will never retire here! I do not recommend at all 🙅‍♀️ Wish I could get my money back.

The staff was great, however…the room was dirty, there were spiders right when i entered, the sheets had stains on them, I booked this room just for the hot tub and pool when i arrived it was under construction for my whole stay, the doors stated they were locked so no one could enter without a key however i was able to walk right in with no key. The shower did not work properly, the key card to the room itself kept disabling so I had to stand in long lines to get it fixed.

4 nite stay. Room was not touched once by housekeeping. Ran out of coffee, towels, even TP. Put trash and used towels outside door. Someone picked them up but never replaced the towels. Even had to ask for garbage bag's. My advise, don't. Plenty of other hotel's in the area.

Overall stay was easy and quick. Did not use amenities such as pool or breakfast. The hotel, you can tell was once beautiful and a place for events and gatherings. But the furniture is old, elevator is old, decor is outdated, painting and upkeep is needed, it's definitely a cheap hotel for a reason. Staff was friendly, not much interaction needed. For this to be an Independence hotel, it needs some love invested.

Hot tub was ok. No bubbles. We informed the staff, they just said it should be working. They did not come check it out. Fire alarm going off at midnight, someone banging on door then not waiting on an answer. Apparently a smoke alarm head was bad in a room on our floor. But when you hear banging on your door, and fire alarm, its tough to get back to sleep.

Spent 3 nights there and not once did someone check my room or bring me towels. They didn’t even answer the phone when calling about the kids and adults running up and down the hall from 9pm to 11:30pm. The halls smelt like marijuana and at 1:30am 4/11 the fire alarm went off because room 404 thought it would be a great to smoke pot and trigger the fire alarm.

Upon arrival I was greeted by who I now know was a manager. Check in was smooth.. I returned to my car to gather the rest of my party which was a 10 month old baby and my husband. We entered through the side door which is supposed to be key access only , but the door was unlocked so anyone could come in. We got onto the elevator along with another guest. We were assigned a room on the second floor. As the elevator begins to move and stop on the second floor it becomes stuck and we were left staring at a beige elevator door (this was not the elevator door but the floor door ) the staff moved swiftly to get us out (stuck for all of 5 minutes). After getting off we are now on our floor which reeked of cigarettes (this is a non smoking hotel ). Upon entering our room , we can see cracks and holes in the wall and the linen is stained with what I’m guessing is blood. The room was so uncomfortable and nasty that at this point I rather take the drive home. I checked in and out within the same hour !!! I would not return and would not recommend. The manager who checked me in and out left me in the system as if I completed my stay. Another staff member issued me a refund.

This hotel is extremely run down! We didn’t have hot water for our stay and we were told there was nothing the could do. No room change no money back nothing! Our key card never worked our phone never worked we paid for breakfast while booking then they tried to charge us again while eating. Terrible hotel!!
