Beautiful Stay

Located in a beautiful part of Cordoba. The area is safe and walkable. The hotel is so pretty with gardens by the pool and historical features. The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The staff was helpful and attentive.

It was an absolutely wonderful stay. A short walk from everything to see or do. And even though close to everything and it felt like you were in heart of Cordoba it was still so quiet and peaceful at the hotel.

We loved everything! The food, room, staff, location and history. Imagine having breakfast on top of a Roman ruin. The gardens were stunning. Although very close to the centre of Cordoba, we felt a million miles away from any noise. Very easy to walk everywhere. Thank you. Jayne and Neil

A Jewel of Spanish hospitality!

From my check in, where the wonderful Jessica managed to get a handicap room for me (even though my reservation had not alerted hotel to this need) to multiple volunteers from the staff who escorted me to various nearby destinations —in this most ancient part of Cordoba—I was met with courtesy,professionalism, and competence. And the hotel itself is one of Spain ‘s hidden jewels, likewise the restaurants: many, many choices and the best food (including breakfast) Ihad inn Spain! Regarding the design, my room was perfect, but I’d make two suggestions : the reception desk doesn’t really work as designed (if more than 2 guests need help, or arrive for check in) and the horrible, much too low, black velvet sofas in the waiting area are the the 1930s: out!

Amazing stay at Hotel Hospes Palacio del Bailio. The hotel is a gem, well located, nice architecture, excellent services, very friendly staff, great breakfast, nice amenities and atmosphere. The hotel is located inside a historical building that is perfectly preserved, which makes you feel really integrated to the city. Each room has its own identity. In addition, we were lucky to take advantage of the Gold membership and obtained an upgrade to a room that was kind of isolated from the rest of the building, with its own particular yard and access, which made our experience at Palacio del Bailio even more special. Definitely a place to stay when visiting Córdoba.

Nice hotel. Our room 23 was an upgrade but it was very noisy next to a service snd loading area and a street. Property is very pretty but a fair walk 15-20 min from the historic center. This was fine for us but maybe not for all visitors. Breakfast was very chaotic though not busy. Coffee took a long time to get. Staff outside if breakfast were very nice.

This is a wonderful, beautiful hotel - likely one of the best in cordoba. The grounds/ pool are beautiful. The staff know how to cater to their guests. We had a slight problem with the taxi (the hotel called the taxi for us and then did not tell us that the taxi was waiting for us after the taxi waited for 15 min- the taxi charged us for waiting). The hotel acknowledged their error and compensated us for the taxi. This is the place to stay in cordoba. 9/10

We had an odd and disappointing experience here, which ended on a very bad note. On the positive side, the hotel location is quiet and walkable to local attractions. The common areas of the hotel are elegant and well-appointed with comfortable sitting areas and a beautiful courtyard garden. But there is a notable disparity between the elegance of common areas and the lackluster quality of the rooms. We had a "deluxe" room but both the room and the king bed were small. The bathroom had a faint but distinctive septic odor. The walls of the rooms were thin and on our last night we could clearly hear the television of the room next door at midnight, which was disturbing in a so-called 5-star hotel. Hotel Hospes Palacio de Bailio is not a 5 star hotel. We had previously stayed in a 5-star hotel in Seville that was truly a perfect experience and the contrast was stark. On our last day, as I was opening the sliding closet doors to get my suitcase, suddenly a decorative board (approx. 4 feet by 1 foot) fell off the wall above the closet and hit me in the head. My hand was scratched in several places by nails sticking out of the board. It was extremely frightening. Luckily I did not have a concussion, but honestly I could have been severely injured given that the board was substantial. Just thinking about it now, I feel shaky and unsettled. My husband examined the board and the wall and he could see that it had been shoddily attached with small nails. My husband and I w
