Beautiful view, great location

There is a lot to love about this home. There is a lot of space, light, and the views of the sound and the old Whalehead club are lovely. Unfortunately when we were there the deck areas were pretty dirty which made spending time out there not very pleasant. The whole exterior needed a good power wash.

Aquacadabra

This house is one we love to stay at, but this year it had issues with hot water, dirty dishes, toilets running and clogging, broken coffee maker, hair on comforter/sheets, and saggy couch and removal of one of tvs. We hope that Vacasa and owners will contact us to discuss. There is a lot to love about the house, and we would love for these issues to be fixed so that we could rent it next year.

Fantastic location and beautiful views!

A fantastic location with quick access to restaurants, beach and sound side, walking trails and 4x4 area. The house afforded nice views of the sound side canal and wildlife—sunsets were beautiful! The kitchen was very well stocked but we wished it had a Keurig as the drip coffee maker did not have a warmer. The beds did not have mattress pads, however we requested them and they were provided immediately. The shower water pressure in the master bathroom could probably be improved with a new shower head. The location of the house is ideal for our family and we will gladly consider staying again!

We had a wonderful restful stay with 9 family members and our 2 dachshunds. We were within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, & pool/tennis/sports club (there's a trolley that makes it's rounds every 20-30 minutes, though, if needed). The house was very clean! The view of the sound was beautiful and peaceful. Only complaint was the manmade inlet behind the home had low water level some of the time so smell was strong of fish and peat bog; but that's nature! My husband's a biology teacher who enjoyed seeing the diverse species of the area: blue heron, peregrine falcon, yellow-bellied slider turtles, rabbits, ginkgo, green tree frogs, to name a few! We suggest you check out Wild Horse Adventure Tours and Coastal Kayak Touring Company while you're staying in the area. This was our 1st vacation in the Outer Banks; beautiful!

Needs Help.

This house has so much potential but it’s lacking in cleanliness. I appreciate that the house is dog friendly but there is a strong smell of urine in the living room/sofa. The daybed bedroom does not have curtains on half the windows making it impossible to sleep in and certainly impossible to change in. The outside decks and furniture and desperately in need of a good power washing and sweep. There are several soft spots in the flooring in the guest bathrooms and kitchen. The mattresses, our backs will recover in maybe a month. The house just needs some attention and care.

Great place!

We loved our stay. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable and clean beds. Nice floors with no carpeting (we love how much cleaner uncarpeted floors are). Would have loved a broom. Sound side was lovely. Just be aware that the water can lack movement and smell a little swampy. Overall a great stay and we would love to come back!

Very Very Satisfied!

We have been coming to the OBX for 50 years. Seldom have we rented a home so fully appointed! It made our family vacation so effortless. The few issues we had were resolved quickly and satisfactorily. We would never resist coming again to Aquacadabra.

Amazing week in Corolla, NC

The house really fit our needs during our vacation. All amenities were perfect during the entire week. Close to fun times at the pool/beach that was posted with fun things to do all week. We played 3 on 3 basketball, trivia, snow cone, to water slides. We grilled outside for the 4th, and other evenings. Went to Corova 4x4 beach daily and saw many horses. Used the jacuzzi daily. Fireworks were on our balcony for the 4th of July were amazing. Great vacation!

Issues

Refrig didn’t not cool well, parts in refrig broken. Spiders all over the house. Dishes left in disWasher and dirty lines left at house from previous tenants. I wish the rules of the pool were listed as well. I have been to several rentals with pools and NONE with these rules and hours!!

First Visit to Aquacadabra

Everything is updated and modern. Lots of space in all of the rooms. There was a minor leak in the tub faucet in the 3rd level master bath, but it posed no problem for us. A garbage disposal would be handy, but it's no big deal. We did have an elevator issue one afternoon. However, the maintenance person remedied that in just a few moments after our mutually agreed appointment. Definitely a great rental!

Wonderful family vacation home

We love the location of this home with beautiful views of the Currituck Sound. Just a short walk to the beach and Corolla Light Village and Clubhouse. The house is very comfortable with all needed amenities.

Vacation 2021

First time at this particular house. The house was clean and had plentiful dishes and cooking utensils. Beds were very comfortable. The grass clippings in the canal were not in keeping with the beauty of the house and kind of smelled bad. This was not the fault of the home owners.

Comfortable and great views

We enjoyed an amazing week at Aquacadabra and can't wait to go back again next year! The house is spacious, nicely laid out with common and private space options. Overall, very easy to live in for a week. Beds were exceptionally comfortable; AC worked great. It's not super fancy, but it has everything you need (and more!) for a great vacation. The elevator was a huge plus not only for one of our relatives with limited mobility, but also for loading/unloading cargo. The exterior could benefit from more regular cleaning, landscaping and sprucing up. There were a lot of cobwebs and bugs on the decks; the outside rugs on the top deck were shabby, and to enjoy the backyard we had to clean up a ton of pinecones.

Beautiful view and with awesome amenities

Great location. Shops nearby and quick walk, bike ride or trolley to beach and pool. Gulf view was spectacular and we had paddle boards and kayaks launched from the backyard. So much to do!
