Resort style living

We thoroughly enjoyed walking or driving down to the Beautiful beach . Golfing, swimming in the heated pool as well as the restaurant and bar area were a 2 minutes walk. The house was immaculate and comfortable.

Perfect for a small family

This house was great for our Labor Day trip with my husband and son. The house has awesome amenities like a brand new Margaritaville machine that was installed when we got there. There's plenty of coffee and creamers and the kitchen is a nice set up. There were lots of extra blankets which we appreciated. Everything was very clean and cozy and after a long day at the beach and pool, it was a nice place to relax. We'd definitely stay here again!

Our Best Gulf Coast Home Experience Ever!

We're from Texas and have seen and stayed and a variety of places along the Gulf Coast (including Galveston). This house has a unique blend of modern convenience, construction, and old-world charm will take you back to everything you would think of when it comes to an ideal vacation beach house. The dining facilities on the property are excellent, the beach just a couple of blocks and boardwalk away, and you couldn't feel safer to top it off. Highly recommend!

Amazing beach stay

We absolutely loved the home and community. We came at a quiet time, and we had a great time enjoying the beach and amenities of Palmilla Resort. The home is precious and gives a great beachy-vibe. The house has all that you need. I loved that they provided plenty of beach/pool towels, beach chairs and toys to use, and had family games and books. We will definitely stay here again.

The Birthday Get-A-Way!

We loved the property as well as the amenities. Sweetbay was a beautiful and cozy home for the 5 of us. Teenage son loved taking a nap on the balcony, teen daughter loved proximity to the beach to fly her kite, youngest daughter loved us singing Happy Birthday with s'mores at the fire pit, husband liked the layout and construction of the home and I loved the staff. From Arlinda in Operations to ***** in Maintenance to ***** & **** in Housekeeping. They were all amazing and created a memorable vacation for our family!

This Casita is not as listed. The pictures are correct and the views are as shown but several other parts of the listing are incorrect. First, there is a king bed in a tiny bedroom attached to a very small bathroom with stand up single shower. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with queen bed on bottom and double on top. There is a small bench but otherwise this room is tiny. It is also attached to a bathroom with a single stall shower. There was no jetted tub as listed. There is not another bedroom with another set of bunks. The listing said 1 king, 2 queen, and 2 doubles. Not correct. Also, the bedrooms are on the first floor. The kitchen and living area are on the second floor. There is minimal sitting space. The window over the sink has a shade but none of the other windows upstairs have anything to help block the sun that beams into the house in the late afternoon making it extremely difficult to watch anything on tv or look in certain directions. The patio door does not have a deadbolt. We found a draft pushed that door open when shutting the downstairs front door. This happened several times and let in a lot of flies before we ever found out it was open. The kitchen was well equipped but only has bar seating. The listing also states it has cable. It has internet access on the TV, but no cable. I would not recommend this place if you have small children or toddlers. The stairs are dangerous for little ones. It may be nice for a couple without kids that only sleeps there but for a family that likes to relax, eat at home, etc. after a long day at the beach and pool, it is a bit tight and not the place you want to be.
