"Still amazing! Great updates and superb food! It had been a few years since our last stay at Hotel Mayan Princess, and we couldn't be happier with our return. The recent renovations look fantastic, and the entire property is extremely well-maintained and beautiful. "Great stay, we're not divers but loved the location. Staff was helpful booking excursions for us at Anthony's Key for dolphins, glass bottom boat tour and more. Quaint little beach access away from the strip of hotels but within a 3-4 min walk of the main beach area as well. Airport shuttle back and forth was great and prompt. All in all great stay!"

"The staff was very friendly and helpful with our last-minute check-in. They communicated quickly via WhatsApp to coordinate shuttle services and provided a welcome drink ticket and free breakfast. The room was very nice, and the amenities suited our needs well. The only downside was that the bed had a little sand on it and a hair on the pillow before we got into it. It is understandable, being near a beach, but I took off one star for cleanliness because of that. Otherwise, the pool was gorgeous, with easy access to the ocean, the pier, and several other resorts, restaurants, and the market. I would stay here again!"

"Las Verandas was a great choice. The room was beautiful and spacious with a wonderful balcony and the food was delicious! The grounds are very well maintained and the ground around the pools never gets hot. The concierge was very helpful, booking us a snorkeling trip and providing other helpful information. The one downfall (no fault of Las Verandas) was the no-see-ums, so bring bug spray and use it!"

"Truly the most beautiful beach we saw during our entire time on the island. This private island is absolutely gorgeous. The beach alone makes it worth the visit. The rooms could use some updating, and the food felt more like filler food than anything memorable. That said, the drinks kept coming and the beach was easily the best we experienced anywhere on the island. If you want to avoid crowds and simply enjoy a stunning beach in a peaceful setting, this resort is a great choice. Unfortunately, you will need to wait for them to rebuild. The resort actually burned to the ground the same day we checked out. Quite a shocking end to an otherwise beautiful stay."
