"If you’re looking for the perfect getaway, this is it!! The property is darling! So cozy and tucked right off the road. We heard owls in the morning and had a beautiful fire in the evening. There are tons of hikes through the national forests and a darling country store. Just an hour outside of Charlottesville but it felt 1000 miles away. "

"Quiet, comfortable, clean, beautiful, well-stocked, and best of all- a huge fenced-in yard that my dogs absolutely loved. My dogs aren't outside listeners so it's possible to actually relax when there is a secure fenced area. This place is definitely on the list for future getaways! "

"We had such a lovely time at Harvest Moon Lodge! It was such an amazing retreat with a beautiful view and so many local hikes. I wish we didn’t pack so many toys and things for the kids because they had everything you would need except a high chair and baby gates! If you’re bringing babies or little toddlers they have two pack and plays with a huge master walk in closet for one baby and the kids adventure room was perfect for the other. The lowest level has the game room, green queen bedroom, and across the hall a full bathroom (shower) and kids bunk room. Main level has the master suite with attached bathroom. Across the hall is the hallway bathroom with the second jacuzzi tub and shower. The loft king room upstairs has a half bath attached but is pretty open to the main living area except a little divider. Just something to note if you’re looking for more privacy in your group! The views were absolutely stunning and we saw deer every morning and evening in the front yard! This property has everything you need for a family getaway and we will definitely be back! "

"We enjoyed the cozy cabin with all the bearphanalia. The only problem we had was with the lockbox, it took forever to get in That was scary as we did not know how to get in touch with the owner. The river behind the cabin was so beautiful, would have been great to play in if the weather was warm"

"Amazing rooms - great bedroom for young ladies on our trip and a good sized master with a king bed. Very clean and had all we needed to cook on the grill, huddle around the fire pit, soak in the hot tub, and lounge in the living room. Very long curvy slow drive on route 56 but gets you away from everyone and everything. Little road noise but that was the only items that didn't make this place completely peaceful. We'll be back again for a VMI weekend! "
