“The property is beautiful and very well maintained. The horses are an added bonus of peacefulness making this location unique. Hotels can be beautiful and noisy, this place was like a little slice of heaven. Stay there you won’t be disappointed. John was very good at keeping in touch and seeing if we needed anything. I will definitely stay there again if I am going that way.”

“Absolutely loved this place! So well cared for and decorated. The property with the fire pit and the axe-throwing was a perfect way to end our hike day. Jessie was very quick to answer any questions--we would definitely come back!”

“We had a wonderful weekend stay for our daughter's wedding. The house has been completely renovated with the top-of-the-line furniture and appliances. Every room is exquisitely furnished. We LOVED the fire pit and smores which our hosts graciously supplied. The countryside was quiet and the night-time stars were spectacular. We highly recommend this beautiful home for any stay you have in the area. ”

“The location is great! It is very clean, well stocked and the hosts were also awesome.”

“This creekside cottage was pretty much as advertised. It was easy to find, clean and comfortable, and quiet. We had a nice mid-week getaway here and enjoyed local attractions like paddling our kayaks at Carvin's Cove, hiking up to Dragons Tooth, and enjoying an end of hike wine at Beliveau Winery. I would recommend it and would return for another stay, maybe in the fall this time.”

“Very very pleasant and quiet!”

“We had an amazing stay at this location. My wife, myself, and another couple were in town for the Virginia Tech football game and had a wonderful time. The property is modern, very clean and had every amenity that you could ever ask for. The location is great as it was only 45 min to Blacksburg and 30 min to the Salem/Roanoke area. It was very peaceful sitting next to the creek and having your morning coffee. The communication with our host (Michael) was great we had no issues at all during our……

“It was good place to stay for Parent’s weekend at virginia tech. About 30 minutes from the school. Feels slightly longer due to being in rural area but easy drive. Price was reasonable, beds were very comfortable. It gets very dark, I feel there should be more nightlights and my only issue was the scented detergent or spray on the sheets, we are all allergic to smells so it was a making us sniffy. The cat was so friendly and we realized she came out for attention when she heard someone at the……

“We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We loved all of the outdoor space and had so much fun kayaking in the creek.”

“Located in quiet area, clean with necessary appliances. Truly enjoyed our stay. Even got to pet horses and goats that are on the owners property. Would stay again when in area.”

“If you want to get away from people and things.....this is the place. We had so much fun here. Lots of trails and nature. It was the perfect reset after school let out and to start the summer!!!”

“We came out to visit family over Farmer’s Day weekend, and to celebrate a church 120th anniversary. This home was perfect! Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax, and the location made it easy to get into and out of Union!”

“All around a very good space and it was perfect for us.”
