The Relais Cooden Beach
10/10 Excellent
"This is a lovely hotel right in the beach. Our room was small and cosy and all we needed. Having requested a twin. Staff are really friendly. The general areas are bright and open. Very welcoming. I'm writing this as I wait to go for breakfast. But our dinner last night was spot on, and delicious 😋.
I'll come again."

The hotel boasts a fantastic swimming pool, perfect for relaxation after a long day of exploring. It was well-maintained and provided a serene atmosphere, making it a highlight of my stay. "Loveley size room but very dated. Bathroom was very shabby. Enjoyed sitting by the lake having a drink. Loverly hotel by the lake but in massive need of updating."
"Really friendly welcome at reception and we quickly got our keys for two twin rooms. The rooms were fine, clean and comfortable.
We used the hotel to stay overnight before a Channel Tunnel crossing which was just 10 minutes away.
It was the cheapest hotel that I could find in the area and exceeded my expectations. The decor was improved from the hotel's appearance on Channel 4's "4 In A Bed" a few years previous.
Slightly disappointed that they don't offer breakfast, but Gingers in Hythe was excellent.
