“We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Victorian. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There is some train noise but we didn’t hear it after 11 pm so it didn’t bother us or disturb our sleep. Breakfast was great. We would definitely recommend!”

“As soon as we opened the front door. The smell was horrible- the beds looked clean. The front mirror was smeared and not clean. They left a container to put ice in which was dirty- it had pop stains stuck to the side and dirt and dust all around top edge. We had to go to the office to get a bag to put ice in . The bathroom was dirty- floor was dirty and not cleaned in months from the looks of it. Mirror was smeared and couldn't see in it. Sink and tub were nasty as well. We were on first floor……

“Room was clean and ground floor accessible, so no elevators or luggage hauling. However, the pool was not operational, and there was nobody to turn the keys into and check out with the next morning, and much of the breakfast stuff was gone although we were there more than an hour before they closed.”

“The place was closed. We belived we had reservations for 2 nights which was in the same town as the family we were visiting. When we arrived at 7:30 pm, and found the place shut down, we had to travel 30 miles to the nearest hotel that was available. The website should keep up to date with facilities that close since people who make reservations are usually from out of town so wouldn't know the place is closed. We weren't at all happy. ”

“I enjoyed my brief stay at the property. The check in process was unusual. I talked with the property manager via Ring and the place was unlocked. Also, I was initially unsure which room I would occupy. But everything got sorted out. The location is very, very close to the street, but the building, which apparently was constructed in 1810, was so well constructed that any noises from passing traffic could not be heard.
