We had a wonderful stay here. It was lovely walking to the beach every day with our dog and the kids enjoyed being creative in the studio. Everything was perfect, we will definitely be recommending Boyds Beach House to friends and coming back again ourselves.

Great beach location

Great place to stay for a getaway close to the beach. Lovely thoughtful basket of treats as a welcome gift. 🙂We enjoyed our time at Boyd's Beach House.

Boyd’s beach house short stay

Beach front getaway

For an early Christmas present this year I got this awesome house for my adult kids coming in from interstate and my husband and 10 year old.It was everything we could’ve wished for and more. There’s plenty of room to go between inside and outside. Also a fire pit to hang out at and a walk over the hill to the beach.It was a home away from home and we all loved our stay!

Great place and host

Loved this place. The welcome basket was a welcome surprise. Nat was always very helpful and lovely to deal with. The house was really well stocked which is rare these days. Right on the beach. Viewing platform and top floor has a awesome view. Great quiet lane way.

Lovely House Footsteps to the Beach

My partner & I brought our toy poodle to this house and we had a great time here. We love that it’s only footsteps to the beach, with good ocean view at top floor and viewing deck, and the lovely house. The beach is very quiet and almost felt like a private beach. Thanks for hosting us. We have told some neighbours and they are eager to visit too!

Wonderful location for a memorable long weekend with friends

Boyd’s Beach House is in a location to die for. We enjoyed a memorable long weekend with friends and our dog - each day started with a stroll with coffee on the beach, which our dog just loved, each day ended with cocktails and whale watching. Natalie was a wonderful host who provided us with all the information we needed in advance of our arrival, and there was a lovely basket of goodies awaiting. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm.

Our recent 3-night stay at Boyds Beach House was absolutely fantastic, and we can't recommend it enough – especially if you're traveling with your furry friend!From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. The host was wonderfully warm and inviting, making us feel right at home. The house itself is a truly unique architectural gem, with beautiful design elements that made our stay feel special.We spent our evenings gathered around the cozy fire pit, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and the sounds of nature. And for our dog, it was paradise! The fact that it's a dog-friendly home with a truly dog-friendly beach just steps away made our trip unforgettable. Culburra - Brief Getaway at Boyd's Beach House

Great location and a well-designed house that has everything you need. Being able to check the beach and surf conditions from the upstairs balcony is a winner!

Not so toddler friendly

Firstly, the weather was really terrible and there was no outside shelter. The property was clean however a lot of the surfaces were tacky due to cleaning products, this was particularly so for the stair railings. We did not want for anything the property is very well supplied with everything you could need; only departure from this was the lack of easily accessed FTA television on the upstairs television, Everything else was available but we like to watch the news on ABC and SBS. Another thing missing was any information about the area; also a bird guide would have been good. Thank you for the book about Arthur Boyd and the children's books which were well used. Plenty of games as well. The coffee pod situation was also tricky as your house guide says to use Caffitaly system however this brand does not fit. The Coffee machine will take Vittoria Espressotoria System only. The ensuite shower is extremely difficult to adjust not sure what you can do about that. the top toilet was not flushing as you know but really that was not a problem after we were coached on the alternative flushing method. Also we could have done with the charging cables for the speakers which we enjoyed briefly. Please check the lights in the master bedroom the bedside nearest the stairs has a faulty cord which wobbles on and off and a number of globes need replacement throughout the house. It is a great outdoor property with lots of facilities in the yard for the right weather and for older kids

Overall experience

The property was clean and very well appointed. We would have liked to have had more time there, but unfortunately that wasn't possible. Some severe storms in the region on the Friday afternoon resulted in minor water ingestion from roof leaks and possible hail damage to the clear overhead panels in the house, but that didn't spoil our stay; it merely reduced our beach and outdoor experiences. The check-in experience however marred our stay, with 7 fruitless attempts to log into the Stayz website along with an attempted password reset before finally giving up and phoning the property owner directly. He couldn't have been more helpful, preventing what could have been a family calamity. It's highly unlikely that we'll be using the Stayz website again.

Weekend escape with our labrador

This was perfect for us. A dog friendly property that accepts a dog the size of a labrador with direct beach access. It was quiet, clean and hassle free with great views from upstairs. When the rain came - we napped and enjoyed the sound.
