A review of The Hide

The location of the hide was great and it was a great house for sharing with friends. It should make it clear that only two small cars can park at the house as the turning into the house is so tight. The cleanliness and condition let it down for us and a more useful welcome pack would have made a better first impression.

A great place to stay

What a great find. A well designed, fantastically equipped and tastefully decorated comfy cottage in the heart of old Deal a few yards from the beach with parking! We loved it. The grandchildren loved the hot tub.

A week at the Hide September 2024

The Hide is an excellent holiday rental in terms of the quality and ambience of the property and its wonderful location. On site parking is a huge bonus. The only improvements I can think of is the provision of user manuals for the electrical appliances, especially the oven and the TV, and a teapot.

Comfortable, relaxing break

We came to Deal for the Bradderie on the Sunday we couldn't have been in a more convenient place ,it was just round the corner in the high street .The house itself was stylish , comfortable and well equipped. We were very fortunate with the weather so spent a lot of time in the courtyard and the hot tub.. It was handy having the fish and chips shop nearby for impromptu meals. Overall it did what we wanted ,gave us a nice relaxing break in comfortable surroundings.

The one I'd love to go back

This house is comfortable, warm, spacious and well equipped. Location near the town center is perfect and the parking places are so usefull. But quiet and peacefull. The patio in the center of Deal is just magic. Everything we need was available (including chair and bed for the baby) except logs for the open fire (as we requested before arriving). Unfortunately we didn't use the hot tub because of the weather.

Great break with friends

The location was perfect. Garden lovely in the sunshine. Hot tub used and enjoyed. Needed a few more kitchen utensils eg: colander, newer tea towels. Downstairs shower needed a bit of a revamp and hot water in upstairs and downstairs showers needed to be better controlled as scalding hot. Handrail needed at bottom of stairs and upper bunk had steep ladder and not really suitable for an adult to access. All said, we had a fantastic stay. Thank you. We loved the house.❤️

Stunning hideaway in perfect location

This classy cottage, beautifully presented, is the perfect base for exploring Deal, Sandwich and other areas on this coastline. We loved it and would happily recommend and return.

A Hidden Gem

We absolutely loved our stay at The Hide. We were there in mid June and booked this location for a few reasons: 1) the hot tub, 2) the privacy, and 3) the enclosed garden which allowed us to bring along our Emma. Emma is our cat and loves being outside for sun napping and bird/bee/bug watching and we enjoy being able to relax and not worry about her getting out into a road or other dangerous situation. She had a wonderful time. We humans also had a wonderful time both out in the lovely small garden and also inside where there were books, puzzles, music, cooking, etc all to be enjoyed in a very tastefully presented living/kitchen area. We also loved the bedroom and bathroom decor and felt really at home. The only ways that the stay could have been improved were both related to sleeping: 1) the mattresses were a bit firm/springy and the bedding was a bit rough. And 2) we also struggled to sleep with the heat and so we rented a window air con unit for the stay. Otherwise, it was perfect. We appreciated the snacks left by the owner, the book of recommendations for nearby activities and restaurants and the overall care taken to ensure we had a pleasant holiday.
