“WiFi available but terrible. One signal broadcast to entire RV park. No cell service. Was quiet and peaceful.”

“The cabin was very clean and accommodating - location was perfect!”

“The location was ideal with access to the beach and beautiful views of the ocean! We enjoyed the hotter and the basic amenities. Easy driving distance to the National Park and many beaches. ”

“The home was clean and well-appointed. Whaleshead beach was so, so fun. The only reason for a four-star review was the lack of toiletries. Every other home we've stayed in over a decade of using vacation home rentals have provided shampoo, conditioner, and soap, but this one didn't. We also haven't stayed in a home run by a vacation rental agency rather than the homeowner, so it seemed a little less personal. Perhaps our expectations were just off as far as the toiletries, but it was an……

“The view of the beach and ocean was amazing. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore was so relaxing. As for the beds they were horrible and because of that we will never be back! ”

“Very clean cabin, stocked with all the essentials for a fun weekend. We had a wonderful time relaxing in the hot tub on the deck and watching the ocean. The check in and check out process was very easy. I had a few questions and Avari Management responded quickly and were very helpful. We had such a great time that we have already reserved another cabin for Thanksgiving weekend. I would highly recommend Whales Head Resort.”

“It is a magical place on the river.”

“Great place.”

“Sweet little house in the trees. There is a small market and cafe across the street but not much else if you need to shop or want to eat out. Only thing is that the property could use some TLC, the walls were dirty and could use a deep clean.”

“Everything was great. Personally I didn’t care for the bed in the master bedroom. The mattress felt very spongy and overly soft. Other than that very satisfying place to stay.”

“Definitely catfished, the pod was wet, damp, leaking shower, watering coming from behind the mirror. Poor water pressure and at best Lukewarm temp. The bedding was stinky, we had to wash the bedding. For the price it’s not worth it. There was a grounds keeper? Older guy living on the property yelling at his dogs in the early morning to late evenings.”

“It’s a charming and sweet place to come back to each night after our day trips. The host was very informative with places to eat, grocery stops and surrounding hikes. We definitely would return!”

“Affordable , quiet , beautiful, incredible experience”

“The cabin was clean. Isaac was very helpful. The beach was within walking distance. Love the sounds of the crows and squirrels nearby. Fred Meyer was right down the road in Brookings. Great location for beachcombing and relaxing.”

“We love staying at the Jade River cabin! Everything was really clean, there are artful touches everywhere, it's an exciting walk to the river and great swimming in the private swimming pool. Meeting Joe and Sally and Nelly was memorable. We hope to come back next summer!”
