-From the moment we arrived, it became evident that the property had been deceptively advertised. Here are the key issues we encountered:
**False Advertising - "Brand New" Property (1/5):** The property was touted as "brand new," but it was far from it. Everywhere we looked, there were signs of wear and tear, and it was obvious that maintenance had been sorely lacking.
**Malfunctioning and leaking Air Conditioner (1/5):** The most critical problem was the non-functional air conditioning system. Despite our attempts to work with the property owner, the issue was never resolved. This led to an unbearable indoor climate in over two-thirds of the house, making a significant portion of the property unusable.
**Unprofessional Communication (1/5):** To make matters worse, the property owner, property manager, and even third parties attempted to steer our communication away from the VRBO platform. They consistently pushed for text message communication, which raised red flags and complicated an already frustrating situation.
**Appalling Cleanliness Issues (1/5):** The cleanliness of this property was utterly shocking. We discovered dirty carpets, a grease-filled BBQ grill, musty smell throughout the first floor.
--Our efforts to work with the property owner were met with nothing but belligerence and an absolute lack of willingness to assist.
