Great stay at Crystal Beach

The place was nice overall. We had a couple problems initially which the property was ready to fix right away, but we chose to just live with it and wait until we checked out. We stayed on the ground floor, but next time will stay on an upper floor so as to avoid the outdoor dining crowd. We did have to buy coffee, sugar, condiments, etc as they were not included, however it may have been because of the evil Covid. Having said that though, there were no cleaning supplies, no wipes, or sanitizer or spray to clean counters etc....we stayed 6 nights so having that would've been nice, but we bought some on our grocery store run. The bed was comfy and the condo was roomy. The restaurant and bar were excellent. Food was great and service was great. The beach and water were absolutely spectacular. Will stay here again! Great location.

Beware!

Let me start off by saying the property is very nice. However I wont stay at this location again for a couple of reasons. The first being the location, while it truly is a very short walk to the beach the back patio is literally on a restaurant’s eating area. So to exit to the beach you have to first navigate through tables of restaurant goers. For a little more privacy I would opt to stay on the 2nd floor next time. Now here is the deal breaker and why I would never recommend this place to anyone. The day after check in my family and I are relaxing with the patio door open, when some (guy who later turned out to be the owner) walks up to the back gate lets himself In and proceeds to the patio door. In a panic I make my way to the patio door as he is reaching for it. I’m kinda in shock as I have no idea who this guy is who literally almost walked in on my family and I. I noticed he’s not wearing a mask as he explains who he is. He proceeds to probe my Uncle and I for information by asking how many people are staying here, which is none of his business and completely unprofessional as I completely filled out all paperwork with the company I rented from which is vrbo. He then proceeds to tell me he needs to retrieve paint supplies from the back room. He calls another guy in to help him who by the way isn’t wearing a mask either. I walk back to the room with the two gentlemen to keep and eye out as I’m still not 100 percent sure who this guy is. As he is taking supplies out of the closet he picks up a clothes basket that was on the floor and sits it on a clean bed where my family has to sleep. To add insult to injury he doesn’t even have the decency to remove the basket once he’s retrieved his paint supplies. He left the dirty basket sitting on top of the bed. In hindsight I never should’ve allowed him access (owner or not) he should’ve bare minimum had vrbo contact me to arrange pick up of his supplies, not pop up unannounced putting my family at danger by not wearing a mask in the first place. I’ve rented homes in and out of the country and have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism. I don’t know if this is something he does on a regular basis, where he stops in unannounced on unsuspecting guess to take inventory of who is staying at his property. I do know it made us VERY uncomfortable and I wouldn’t dare recommend this property to anyone.
