「The host never reached out to provide instructions to access the place and we had to scramble once we got there to contact them and figure it out. Otherwise the property is clean and conveniently close to the train station. That area is a bit sketchy but it’s convenient. Would’ve rated it higher if the host proactively reached out knowing we had booked and were arriving.」

「Very nice and quiet environment. Room is clean. It would be nice if they can put some hooks in the room for hanging things, as there are no rod or hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels. Although not in Sorrento, transportation to Sorrento is convenient with 2 Euro per trip shuttle bus, takes about 10 minutes to Sorrento. Overall satisfactory and good price.」

「We had to pick city central or closer to the water. We chose to be closer to the waterfront. There were plenty of restaurants around and it is walkable for that area. We loved it. The hotel room was spacious and clean and the staff was wonderful and arranged a taxi for us a couple of times to meet a tour and to get back to the train station. I was a little unsure about this place but I would stay here again if I am ever fortunate enough to get back to Naples.」

「I think overall this is a great stay, it’s close enough to the city to be walkable but far enough that it feels removed from the very touristy area. The Residence Due Torro would definitely benefit from being small upgrades to specially the bathroom, linens, and ensuring there’s not ants. Be mindful that is it an older building but Italy itself is old, which personally enjoyed and it adds to the authenticity of the trip!」
