"The hotel was a great value! And the value did not sacrifice any great qualities... very clean, convenient, great view of the harbor and light house! Check in and out was easy! And the location is great, so close to everything!"

"Amazingly beautiful property. The best view of the harbor you could ask for. Very walkable. LOVE that it was dog friendly. Would stay again. Note: they charge a cleaning fee (and a dog fee) but still want you to take out the trash, strip the bed, sort and take out recycling, start dishwasher, etc. For the nightly rate I wouldn't expect the cleaning fee wouldn’t cover those things."

"I was very nervous after reading the reviews but we had a great stay. It's nothing fancy but the staff was great, the room had a beautiful view and it served its purpose. This location alone is worth the price we paid, which you're not going to find cheaper in Grand Marais. I mean, you're next door to World's Greatest Doughnuts! Maybe we just got lucky with our specific room but I think alot of the people in these reviews expected a 5 Star resort and just love to complain, but you get what you pay for! I would stay again! "
