“Very helpful and friendly staff room was comfy and clean”

“Breakfast good choice, poached eggs overdone and staff cheerful. Paper thin walls mean you hear every small noise so not great. Lovely grounds to walk in and the nearby Rock Inn pub well worth a visit.”

“Hotel a 3 minute walk to promenade,staff very pleasant and helpful. Down side……No on site car parking and building looking a little tired.”

“My friend and I stopped here overnight on our way to Cornwall. The area is beautiful and it's a nice old estate/manor. The rooms were clean, but a little dated. It must've been a wedding party that stayed overnight, as we heard all of them in the courtyard and hallways at 7 am, so the walls are extremely thin. Fine for a one night stay.”

“Jo the care taker is very nice and friendly to give whatever help and advice needed for a visitor new to the place. The room is clean and in fact the whole building seems to have just been renovated.”

“What a beautiful day this was. The views from the Inn are stunning. I was welcomed by Kevin (the owner) on arrival. I enjoyed a fabulous home-cooked styled curry for dinner (a must have if you are there for curry night). The rooms are clean and nicely set up. Both Kevin and Suzanne are superb hosts. Looking for a great place to stay this is it. I look forward to my return.”

“Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay ”

“Amazing apartment with epic, all aspect views. Clean and well maintained and the lady managing the cleaning was lovely. Only negative was it was it was very draughty in the bedroom (but it was extremely windy).”

“Left stranded outside the hotel after staff forgot to leave keys, after confirming directly with the hotel manager that we would be arriving late. We never were able to use our reservation and did not stay after paying in full. I called earlier in the day to confirm, and they gave me the lockbox location and code, but upon arrival by taxi (after midnight) there were no keys in the box, leaving us alone outside with no car. I’ve requested a refund from the hotel but they have not responded - I……

“Food was great, staff very helpful, bar and dining room very tidy and clean, good range of drinks, both alcoholic and soft although I am out of touch with prices so had a bit of a shock. This is not a negative, just reality. Plenty of parking and convenient at the rear to avoid stairs. Some areas are in need of decorating such as stairwell and corridors however not terrible. Outside areas need tidying around the back of the building but the beer garden/smoking area was good. Wheel chair……
