“I can’t recommend enough! We stayed in San Jose the night before our flight, after spending the week in Fortuna we weren’t sure what to expect. We booked a cheap stay, and it was fantastic! It was clean, safe, and comfortable! It’s inside a locked gate, with a safe place to park. It’s walking distance to plenty of food and shops. I can’t recommend enough! ”

“This lodging is a hidden gem away from Poas but close enough to get to the crater within 20 minutes. The views from the dining area were spectacular. The owner, Cindy, communicated clearly and often. She provided excellent directions to the property which is located high up on a hill in a residential area. The bedding was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend Serenity Ecolodge for a stay near Poas Volcano. I have nothing but good things to say about the……

“Stayed here on our last night before going to the airport. Was nice ending our vacation at a local hotel. Staff were pleasant and we had a nice dinner at the restaurant. ”

“Staff met you at the front, Spanish-speaking only but super nice. The room was fantastic when we stayed. It was a little bit colder so there was a space heater. There’s a menu in the room for options for meals. We didn’t partake in any of this, but it was great to know that we had a food available if needed. The only downside was the lack of hot water in the shower. We only stayed for one night so it really didn’t bother us that much but if we were saying multiple nights that would’ve been an……

“The room was spotlessly clean. Everything is white. The bathroom is excellent! Staff are excellent and personable. I will definately stay again. The tourist van that took me at 5 am to the airport cost colones 4,000.”

“Very responsive host, and a clean and nice setting. You feel you are close to nature although you are close to the airport. There are trees and bushes that give you a peaceful feeling. Host is fluent in English. I would stay here again. ”
