"Clean spacious room Friendly, professional staff (but please train on Hilton members benefits) We love it here and stay often (beautiful pool, nice workout room, billiards table, den-like seating, fure pit, yard games) Love the Notre Dame motif. ☘️ BREAKFAST: in lobby, via third party, very friendly, helpful staff, BUT food is NOT good. Eggs are dry and fake, meat is very greasy, fruit is over-ripe and unappetizing, pancakes very thin, and consistently taste like a reheat. We have stayed with breakfast included, prepaid with the room this time, but opted out for another upcoming stay. Please return to previous breakfast protocol, years ago, as it was then very good. Thank you. "

"This facility is heavily under construction. Hallways have plastic taped on walls, elevators are totally scratched, main reception desk moved to a horribly ugly back area. I was asked at checkin if I'd been there before. "No." No explanation as to the sad appearance of place. I was never asked if I was an alumna of SMC or of ND. I went to SMC '81. I was put on a floor with ND wallpaper (with old football teams, leprachaun mascot, and ND symbol) and ND tartan plaid and blue gold color scheme throughout.I was offended. I was staying on SMC's campus at the Inn at St. Mary's, and yet I had to sleep in this kind of set up. After returning from my evening meeting I decided to look at other floors. Turns out 1st and 3rd floors are devoted to ND and only the second floor is SMC--with wall paper and color schemes reflecting that school. My room looked out on a playground for kids made to look like a football field. I was offended on all levels. Not to mention the breakfast was the saddest excuse I'd ever seen. Truly not worth the money."

"Good price! The hotel looked new or renovated, room was clean, and beds and pillows were really comfy. Enough parking. They accept pets. Free breakfast. The only thing that is keeping me from giving them 5 stars is the breakfast. The only thing I look forward in a continental breakfast is the oatmeal. For the price I paid I didn’t expect much. But the oatmeal here was really thick and dry 😞. So I only ate an orange. If we put aside breakfast, rooms and service are excellent!"
