Awful communication, dirty apartment, no WiFi

This apartment is situated at the very top of the hill of Dubrovnik, just off the highway really - first, we messaged and asked about parking and they said yes, there was parking but did not provide the location, which meant we had to go, check in, then return to our car and move it. a sweet but very young woman checked us in and explained that the WiFi was poor - but it never worked. The apartment itself was very dirty, it seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned before our arrival - dirt and hair all over the floor, water on the floor, moldy shower jets, broken kitchen sink handle…. We reached out to the property manager days ago and they ghosted us. We ultimately decided not to stay at the apartment but I would absolutely not recommend booking with this host.

Great view but not a great place

The address is not actually a street but a sidewalk of many, many stairs. Be sure you actually understand the location and how difficult it is to get to. If you have luggage it is quite the effort to get to this guest house. You can enter from above or below (we discovered) that above is best (from the driveway in front of the Adria Hotel (just as you exit their driveway to go back onto the highway - there is a small sign there for GH Barbara. The hosts were really not very helpful. Some lights did not have bulbs and the curtains in our room pulled out of the wall. The balcony overlooking the city is a wonderful view. The beds were comfortable. Overall I would not stay here again.

Spectacular View and Very Kind People

Well, once you get down those stairs from the parking area, you are simply in "heaven". That view was just....well, spectacular. Old Town Dubrovnik was so fun, and so historical. My one suggestion, just don't drive in Dubrovnik. AND when finding this apartment, DO NOT FOLLOW YOUR GPS. Follow what Barbara tells you to do. It's so worth the wait to stay in this apartment.
