Nice Weekend Getaway Cabin

Big Barn was a great place just outside of Durango to stay for our long weekend getaway. The location right off Lemon Lake was convenient to have some fun on the water and it was only a quick drive into Durango. Cabin was overall well equipped with the essentials and we appreciated having a place we could bring the dogs along to.

Local getaway

Our whole family loved this property and asked to come back. Comfortable cabin tucked away just far enough from town. We used the paddle boards and the fire pit.

Great stay in lemon

An amazing vacation rental. Secluded, beautiful, serene, there are not enough words to describe how great this rental was. Just overall great! Hopefully will come back out again soon! Thanks again!

Cozy getaway in the woods!

Overall - our stay was great! We were looking for a quiet cozy getaway for Thanksgiving, and we definitely got it at this place. The WiFi and TV worked great. We even used the kitchen to cook a small Thanksgiving meal, and had no problems. The driveway definitely is a bit steep and bumpy, so the 4WD requirement for the winter is very accurate. The only slight downside (which didn’t bother us really) is there is an adjacent cabin on the property. From the photos and description, it made it seem like the cabin was a ways away and not visible to the barn - but it definitely was - they share the driveway. There were people staying at the cabin while we were there, so it wasn’t as secluded as it could be. But would be great if you had a group of people and could all stay together on the property!
