Owners super helpful and friendly.Pool a bonus, brilliant to chill after visiting the local beauty spots some of which are practically on the doorstep.The only downside - we only had 3 nights. Hope to visit again at sometime.”

“Gorgeous cottage, clean, comfortable and quiet. Lots of places around to visit and lots of lovely restaurants. Bakewell is a lovely town, lots of shops and eateries. Highly recommend Chatsworth house, the gardens are amazing. Had gorgeous meals at the Derbyshire arms, just a short walk from cottage and the Chakra lounge, a beautiful vegan/vegetarian Indian with gluten free options in Bakewell. ”

“i went with my daughter, had an amazing time! my cousins were at arena uk just 7 mins drive. so had the comfort of being able to relax at the beginning and end of day. Loved the fact had internet and watch all my favourite programmes on Netflix etc. My daughter was able to chill in her own room with tv at the end of a busy day. ”

“A gem of a property, with such stunning views and a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, it really is the perfect spot for a break. Close to hiking options and the local town, the host is really lovely and accessible if you have questions. Will definitely be returning! ”

“I recently stayed at Hathersage, Hope Valley, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. The accommodation is beautifully and have spacious rooms that blend historic charm with modern comfort. All rooms were spotless, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the rainfall shower was a real treat after long walks. Fully equipped kitchen with some nice welcoming treats.The location is ideal—just in the middle of the Hope Valley and plenty of other hiking routes. There are couple of nice dining places……

“Thanks for the lovely 1 bedroom flat near the main park in Matlock. It was super clean and the host kept in touch when we had questions. The parking space was too small for our rentalSUV but we managed to find street parking each night. We would definitely come back. ”

“Great location Beautiful cottage”

“We have stayed at the Old Post office several times and have always been delighted with our stay. We are always made welcome and the property has everything to make a great stay. The Community shop next door and the pub around the corner are great assets. It's a great area for walking, cycling and visiting. we would highly recommend the property.”

“Spacious, comfortable cottage on a quite road within walking distance of the shops and eateries of Oakham. Rutland Water is a short drive away with its famous Ospreys, the main reason for our visit doWater us a very short drive away”
