From building the perfect fire for you that will light with one flick of your lighter to all the cute accommodations he’s built by himself with lots of little details in mind from lots of cut wood for your fire to having WiFi available. The treehouse was right on the river and we could hear the river babbling below us as we slept!! This is a great getaway that’s a step above……

We love the tiny red house but was honestly jealous this trip that our friends got to stay in the large tree house, might have to rent that next time we go. “The house is just as wonderful as others have said, and the hosts were super responsive by text without intruding in the least — we met Deidre only once & by chance, as it were. The house is definitely compact, but the space is well apportioned. Worth noting that *indoors* it’s all one acoustic space — upstairs or down, all sound is audible to all; and the kitchen is necessarily modest. But we had a splendid time visiting for 2 lovely July weeks with our sons (18 and 19). We swam in the pond,……

“Stayed overnight to see Ice Castles. Condo was comfortable and perfect for our overnight stay. The fact that it was snowing made it even better. After our venture we returned to our lodging and had hot cocoa and played games. Scott was gracefully accommodating when we had to reschedule from our original booking due to a snowstorm. “Enjoyed our weeks stay, as always. Beautiful farmhouse with everything you can think of for kitchen facilities and a beautiful water view. This very much feels like a family lives here. And the West Hill Pond is right out your back door, a pristine and private pond that is as large as many lakes and totally private. Only 4 or so houses on the entire pond. We particularly enjoyed a daily canoe around the pond and the call of the loons. Unique home and location.”
