“This is my second time in one of Orion Holidays properties. I visited with my son and three very young grandchildren. I love the views from the houses overlooking a pond or lake where there is lots of wildlife to observe. I like the green spaces between houses and it was very dog friendly when I brought my dog on the first visit. We had the indoor swimming pool included in our deal but unfortunately it was closed on the first day so we only managed to use it once. We went to the outdoor pool……

“Ivy Cottage was definitely one of the nicest cottages I have ever stayed in. It was clean, cosy, warm, spacious, well-equipped and very comfortable. And the village is lovely too.”

“This was a multigenerational family get together to celebrate a big birthday. We were aged from 10 weeks to 77 years old! We all enjoyed this most comfortable house, which was probably the best equipped I have ever stayed in. Comfort and cleanliness were exceptional and the contact before and after from Orion was superb. We were familiar with the location but again enjoyed walks, swimming and cycling. Views of the lake from the house were great and we enjoyed our resident cuckoo and muntjac……

“We had a great weekend at this property. The interior decor was lovely & the cleanliness was excellent. The kitchen had top of the range appliances & well stocked utensils & crockery etc. The hot tub was an added bonus for our enjoyment. We have stayed at Lower Mill several times now & would definitely stay at this property again. Had a great meal at the nearby pub, The Bakers Inn. All in all a fantastic weekend. Thanks.”

“Check-in was early, which I appreciated. However, the room fell well below expectations: it had no window, a damp smell, no hot water, and felt very run-down. It also didn’t feel clean, and there were no hooks in the bathroom for towels. Overall, I would not recommend the Stables.”

“This is the fourth time we have stayed at Lower Mill Estate, albeit with a gap of several years since we were last there. It was our first stay in this property. We could see that there has been considerable further development of the estate since our last visit. That said, the character of the estate has been maintained and the hub facilities (including swimming and spa) were still very good.
