Gostei bastante do hotel. A localização é muito boa. Tem onibus 5 minutos andando, que te deixa no centro de Edimburgo em menos de 20 minutos. O quarto estava limpo. The Mill house ligger et stykke væk fra centrum, men meget tæt på busholdeplads (ca 100 m) med mange busser der holder ved Waverly station centralt i Edinburgh. Desværre ligger en del af værelserne ud mod Georgie Road der er meget trafikeret hele døgnet og med vinduer der ikke kan lukke tæt og uden aircondition kan der blive meget varmt, hvis vinduet er lukket. ikke en lampe over sengen, kun 2 meget skarpe i loftet.

Access to buses great. Due to hard flooring and fire doors with self closers unfortunately, quite noisy within the building. Not all occupants remembered the 10pm 'quiet'. As rooms are only ventilation from one small windows overheating when room faces sun could be problematic. No formal reception so must check in between 3-5:30pm otherwise there will be delays getting to your room.

Power to the people

The stay was generally good. However, the ppwer sockets didnt work. Had to find the fusebox in the kitchen/ communal room to reset the circuit breaker. Coincidentally, this reset the hallway lights and the kitchen lights. Contradictory to electrical and building regulations. Good job i got to the kitchen because the next day it was deemed out of bounds.

Avoid staying here.

Don't stay here. False advertisment. It says there is a shared kitchen but reality guests are not given access to the kitchen. I talked to the managers and they refused to rectify the situation. The hallways have trash and dirt. The mattress as horrible. The drains need to be snaked. The good things inckude solid internet and access to buses. The park nearby is lovely. If you are looking for something similar, Edinburgh College Residence is much better.

Room was dusty and there were a few bugs in the room (including 1 in the bed). Didnt get check-in information until after i had arrived at the building. Day before departure, got an email to say i was to vacate the room by 10am, despite booking confirmation saying it was 11am. Found out from check in information that because i had an ensuite room, i could not use the kitchen (the main reason I had booked this accommodation).

It served its purpose. Good: Everything was new and in good shape, it was quiet, private bathroom, and near several bus stops and a grocery store. Not so great: Half of the plugs weren’t working, there was no rubbish bin in the room, the floors needed a good sweep. There was no access to the kitchen, which meant no tea and no filling a water bottle. Having booked through Expedia, and with no on site folks except for check in, I’m not sure how I could communicate any big problems if they had come up. None of these were deal breakers. It was a private, safe place for a good price.
