“Overall, it is a very nice hotel. Like apartment, you have kitchen, bathroom, living room and so on. Not so many choices but good breakfast. It’s not safe in Calama, so it’s a good idea to choose a hotel like this with gate and security. ”

“Zum Teil schöne, aber etwas in die Jahre gekommene Unterkunft. Bei 5 Sternen erwarte ich etwas anderes. Wir hatten einmal Abendessen, dessen Qualität war nicht so überzeugend dafür sehr teuer. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, viel Auswahl, guter Kaffee. Personal war sehr nett, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend.”

“Hotel Desertica is one of the nicest hotels my wife and I have ever stayed in. The location is 10/10, the staff are so friendly and the rooms are unique and luxury. My wife was ill for a day and the staff prepared off-menu chicken soup to make her better and provided local medicinal tea, which really helped. We had to change hotels due to availability but was so unimpressed by the alternative that we returned and spent the rest of our trip at Hotel Desertica. 5* all round!!”

“I have forgotten to take back my passport during checkin. On the next day of checkout I was super panic that I have lost my passport. I searched all my luggages and could not find it. At the end I realized the receiption has kept it. I am UNSURE why they did not return the passport to me to my room. A large part of the bathroom facilities are rusted making it a bit uncomfortable. ”
