Mtn Getaway

This was our 2nd stay in this cabin and we absolutely love it. Tucked away in the resort, the setting is beautiful and wildlife everywhere. Cabin is super clean, well laid out, we enjoyed both the front and back decks. Plenty of sites to see nearby and great places to eat. On our list favorite places!

The cabin was very nice and clean. The shower was beautiful with lots of hot water. The bed was so comfortable and we slept well during our stay. We used the fireplace and the fire pit outside. There were 4 comfortable chairs outside near the fire pit. There were a lot of deer on the property and we saw more on our drive through the community. Plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. We visited Helen for Oktoberfest and had a great time. If you drive out that way be sure to stop at Rees Orchard (and use the restroom because there is no place to go until you get to Helen). Overall the trip was relaxing and very scenic.

Relaxing weekend away

This is such a clean and beautiful home! We drove in for the weekend and had an amazing time going to the pool, relaxing on the porches, and visiting the drive-in theater in Blue Ridge. Very quiet, peaceful, and private and has a great kitchen.

Hideaway Cabin

Great cabin in an awesome location. We could not od asked for anything any better. It has a queen bed and a king bed and a sleeper sofa. Fireplace is gas and works great. The cabin is in a gated community with deer roaming free and plenty. The people are great to work with and prompt.

Absolutely Perfect!

The cabin is very clean and everything is just as described in the listing. The gas fireplace is beautiful and cozy. The scenery from both sides of the house is beautiful, as the cabin is at the end of a road, so there are only woods beyond. The deer and other wildlife are fun to watch and enjoy. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware necessary for a full family. There is a Keurig and a regular coffee pot. All the comforts of home. We'll definitely be going back.

Peace and Quiet

Hideaway is a good description of the cabin. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the spot. It's located at a point where there is no car traffic and no one walking by. The cabin is furnished with almost everything you need but feel free to bring your own special cooking utensils and a cutting board. You'll see plenty of deer and turkeys and maybe even a Sasquatch. Figuring out the television is another story but those well versed in the new technology will get them running in minutes instead of days like us. All things considered, it's worth every penny to stay here.

Immaculate cabin! Loved it!

The cabin was lovely and immaculate. Super clean! Very nice kitchen & master shower. There was wood everywhere, so it felt like a true cabin. There was a large, covered front porch & a screened-in porch off the back. Everything was one level unless you wanted to go down to the fire pit. It rained all weekend for us, so that wasn’t an issue & the covered areas were great to have! My daughter has a broken foot, so the easy mobility on one level was great for her! We loved it! We definitely want to rent this one again! A great escape! No immediate neighbors so very quiet & peaceful. A true getaway! We weren’t able to use the rec center or pool this trip, but they’re nice to have access to for future trips. I felt like we had plenty of room here, too. Highly recommend!!

Staying at Hollow Tree

This is a lovely cabin in the Coosawattee River Resort. We stayed 3 nights in Oct 2023. Loved the very comfortable beds & beautiful interior & Forrest views from the back porches. It was quite cold that weekend. So, The only drawback, Was that we were VERY Disappointed that the Gas Fireplace did not work. This is one reason I choose this cabin. We reached out to property manager & but she was unable to get it to work via text messages &’phone conversations (She responded very quickly to my calls). . I saw past reviews that had the same reviews of a broken/nonfunctional fireplace.

A Relaxing Week in the Woods

What a wonderful way to spend a week! There were DAILY deer sightings and they came close enough you could appreciate their beauty yet not feel intimidated. The cabin was warm and cozy and we spent much of our time on the sofa watching TV. Was happily surprised that the bedrooms were also equipped with TV’s as when I had inquired with the Property Manager we were told only TV was in den. We did not have a need or desire to use any of the included amenities (pool, mini golf, game room, etc.) but we did take a nice drive around the property and enjoyed looking at all the different cabins/homes. Only disappointment was that I inquired about if grill at location was Propane or charcoal so we made sure that we came equipped with all necessities and was told that grill was propane but it was charcoal HOWEVER the Owner quickly contacted the Maintenance person who drove up to the cabin and was more than helpful in locating a bag of charcoal for our use and therefore saved DINNER!!! If you are looking for a great place to relax and unwind with very little (to no) distractions then Hollow Tree Hideaway should be at the top of your destination list.

Love this Cabin

This is our new favorite for mtn stays. Such a pretty area, lots of things to do nearby. This cabin chkd all the boxes..very clean, beautiful quiet setting, lots of deer sightings. We enjoyed every minute and hope we'll be able to stay here again.

Beautiful cabin

The house is beautiful! Deer were in the yard every morning. Driving through the resort was as wonderful. Getting to see all of the wildlife. The deer just stand there looking at you. The only problem was there needs to be more living room furniture and there needs to be another amenity card that will at least do the number of people in the house instead of them having to purchase another one. All of the complementary items were very nice! I would definitely stay here again!

Resort-like

Very much like staying at a resort. You dont feel like your intruding on someone elses space. Well built, beautiful cabin. Maybe not the warmest decor wise, but again, 5 out of 5.Unit itself is probably better for 2 couples or grown kids that dont mind bunking up, not the best sleeping arrangement in the guest for little kids, which is fine. Ours still had a blast. You can walk to the river, but its a a bit of a bushwack. Our 4 and 6 yo made it w/o help, but i probably wouldnt have hung out there otherwise.

Wonderful Cabin

The cabin was great for our family reunion. The only issue was, it was not comfortable to gather in the family room. There was only one couch for 3 people and a very uncomfortable rocking chair. The pull out sleeper was also not in the best condition. I recommend getting a new couch or a comfortable arm chair for people in the family room.

Newer cute cabin! Very clean upon arrival. Owner is very quick to respond to any questions or issues. Loved the drive up to the cabin many deer to see on the way. The only cons I found were the fireplace was not working and we were looking forward to using it, and I would recommend a new updated couch that one is not very comfortable at all. Would definitely rent again if we ever go back to Ellijay!

The house is very nice very well kept everything was in good conditionEasy to get to paved roads the front of the house just has two steps to get inThe back of the house has more steps to get down to the fire pit if that’s of any concernNeighborhood is very nice and peaceful very private. The deer are everywhere just beautiful. We did not go to the community area so I really can’t say much about that where the pool is. They do not want you using the fireplace. It’s like June to September, which is not on the listing information. I would encourage the owner to change that there certainly could be cool evenings, and a fireplace is part of the appeal of the property.We did have a challenge with the property manager for a moment if the owner would like to contact me, I will share what happenedI would not let this affect the stay at this house at all.

Mountain cabin

I traveled with my sister. Cabin was beautiful and perfect for the two of us. We each had a spacious bedroom. WiFi password code on check in email was incorrect but the password was on router. Gate access code was inactivated on our third day. The community stopped using the code numbers and we didn't know the lot number just the address. They found us by name eventually each day for us to get in. Overall cabin itself was very nice just wish we had a welcome book with map of community so we could see on the map how to get to pools etc. We had a great time and the cabin was overall fabulous. Deer could be seen each time we drove through and even seen outside at the cabin.
