Family summer trip

Beach getaway

This property was perfect for our getaway to the coast. We had my daughter's friends visiting from out of state and it couldn't have been any more perfect. You're close enough to town and the beach for walking, but far enough away from all the downtown noise. The food establishments in downtown Encinitas didn't disappoint. Unfortunately, we had some plumbing issues which rendered one of the bathrooms unusable for a few days of our visit, and with 6 people in the house that was definitely noticeable. However, the owner worked quickly to get a plumber out whenever I reached out about the issue. Without the plumbing issue this would have been a 5-star review.Don't hesitate to book this property, you won't be disappointed. We will definitely stay here again if we decide to do another trip in Encinitas.

Spacious with great location, needs updating

We had a nice stay. The location to Moonlight Beach was great. It was not ‘steps’ but rather a .5 mile walk, about 4 blocks. Took 10 minutes and we luckily brought carts for our gear. House layout was lovely, but it needs updating. The appliances are old, particularly the dishwasher which looked ancient and left food on the plates. The faucets are quirky and it’s confusing getting hot water. The furnishings in the kitchen were minimal: for example, they only had 3 wine glasses and we had 4 guests. There was only 1 bar stool. Comfortables beds, but there was sand in the sheets when we got into bed and the fan only worked on low setting. One of the towels in the master bedroom had multiple brown stains on it. I think for the price this property could use a little updating. Hosts were kind and communicative and I wish them the best.

Beautiful property, great location

The house was beautiful, really did feel bigger than in the photos. The beds, couches, chairs were all very comfortable. My kids love the swing in the main bedroom. I loved having plenty of blankets around since it was chilly when we stayed. The view is perfect, and just steps from the viewpoint to get a wider view of the ocean. We could walk to tons of shops, restaurants and even Moonlight beach. I was concerned about parking at first without a designated spot, but we never had an issue even when 1st street was super busy. It was quiet at the property. Do be careful of the stairs, they’re quite steep and may be difficult for young children and those with mobility issues.

Excellent in every way

The pictures do not do this home justice. It was better than I expected. The home looked smaller in the pictures than it is. This is a massive home. I really enjoyed every aspect of this house. I slept in the larger of the two upstairs bedrooms and my bed was extremely comfortable. I think it had foam mattress. Having stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, I don't think the quality of the mattresses seem to matter much to hosts. I usually don't have a great night sleep at a vacation rental but this was the exception. Every aspect of this home was as good as it could be. These owners care very much about this home and that was reflected in everything: quality of towels, linens, blankets. seating, lighting, kitchenware, etc. If you are considering this home for your vacation rental, go ahead and book it. You will not be disappointed.
