"They’re not easily reachable by the phone. They left dirty dishes and linens in the bedroom. There was also blood on our sheets when we got to the hotel at first. Now, the staff was great, and they gave some accommodations. However, for the prices that they are charging, I was pretty disappointed overall with the hotel."

"For us the Marlton was an ace: cozy, like the Algonquin before it was ruined; totally friendly and accommodating staff; really surprisingly good breakfast; located in a fun and gentle neighborhood with easy access to everywhere. Do not expect a jacuzzi and/or enough space to play badminton, just a really cool, classy, old timey but hip hotel in New York."

"This hotel was purchased out of chapter 11 bankruptcy in February 2026 and it looks like it. Mold was present in our shower and floorboards and the headboard was worn. On the plus side, found staff to be nice and accommodating, walkable SoHo location and there is a generous noon checkout time. However, I would not consider this hotel until after the new owners can get in and provide renovations, assuming they will make the investment. The previous"
