Peaceful lakefront retreat!

We had a great time at the Lazy house! Very comfy accommodations, well stocked kitchen and a coffee/tea station! Thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the deck in the mornings with coffee and looking at the lake. Also enjoyed the provided kayaks and hot tub.

Location is awesome, lake views unbeatable, and the house was well stocked, has a great layout and was perfect for my mom and I for our girls weekend! We didn't use two of the bedrooms but the two we did the beds were comfortable and we loved having the large dining table for crafting and the couch and TV for watching Hallmark movies! Great rental! We can't wait to come back!

The Lazy House was AMAZING!

We loved our stay at the Lazy House. It was perfect for 6 adults. They had a lot of supplies and it was very clean. The beds and couch were very comfortable. The view of the lake was breath taking. We all had a great time and would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Restful Relaxation

The location and privacy of the lot were a plus. The view of the lake, nice deck, and dock were great. We loved kayaking and paddleboating on the lake and enjoyed the hot tub. The beds were comfortable and the layout was great for our family. The kitchens and bathrooms are a little dated, but they were clean and well appointed. Everything was labeled and the hosts thought of everything you might need.

Perfect Lakeside Getaway

Exactly what we were looking for. House was so fully stocked, we enjoyed staying in and cooking over our meals in Florence. Kayaks and pedal boat were great for getting onto the lake, hot tub with the wind screen awesome for relaxing. Tons of wildlife and great little touches like the tree swing and kids chairs/games.

Family vacation

Excellent place to stay to explore the dunes and all the area has to offer. Very well stocked and comfortable for our family vacation. Beautiful lake views from the home and deck and a large front yard to play. Lake access from the dock has a lot of lake weed and not very appealing for swimming. Overall would recommend this property!

Comfortable and Relaxing

The location was great and the lake setting beautiful. Good location to access the grocery store and restaurants, but far enough away from town to feel removed. Easy access to lots of outdoor activities. House is definitely older and it shows in spots, but the updates that have been made make it comfortable and it is well stocked. We enjoyed it.

Best place to be lazy (or not)

Beautiful, comfortable house fully equipped with everything imaginable. You can be super lazy and gaze out at the lake from inside on the comfy couch or get out the kayaks and go for a spin. It’s a perfect location and the scenery is breathtaking. I will be back again and again!

We eloped at Cape Perpetua!

This house was amazing and perfect for our 2 night stay with friends. Fully stocked. I wish we could’ve stayed longer to utilize everything. Hottub worked and was clean. Beds were comfy. Kitchen had all wares and utensils even spices and oils needed although we didn’t have time to need them. Big tv, comfy couch, big windows with awesome lakeview. The porch and dock made for some fantastic photos. We will absolutely stay again someday! :)

Cozy Comfort during a Rainy vacation

We originally rented this property for 2 main reasons - lakefront with multiple included amenities and the large sectional sofa with big television. Boy were we glad to have that comfy couch during a week of cold and rain. The hot tub was nice too (though only 2/4 jets work) we didn’t really get to use the paddle boat or kayaks due to the rain but nice activity option! The stock of firewood, cooking utensils/pans/spices, towels, soap all exceeded expectations! The only thing I’d say is that the shower located inside the front bedroom is a bit stinky and the kitchen/bathrooms could use a bit of a cosmetic update but functionally were fine. Beds were very comfortable and all the extra linens and blankets stocked were great! I think the value for the rental is spot on and we would definitely stay here again! We enjoyed relaxing with our family!

Pros: Owners thoughtful with newer furnishings including beds and bedding. Newer flooring and painting. Hot tub very nice amenity as is dock down to lake. Nice stock of firewood. Cons: Other than flooring and paint, house last updated in early 80s. Hollow core doors, house lacks privacy. Layout very funky including shared bathroom and kitchen. On-suite bathroom at front of house facing parking; lakeview master does not have attached bathroom, need to walk through common area to shared bathroom. In cold, rainy weather, it felt very hard to warm up even with use of fireplace. Poor circulation - towels didn't dry between uses

Gloriously Good

We arrived and immediately the neighborhood deer family greeted us. How lovely! The property was clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed including games, kitchen gadgets, and lots of spaces that encouraged togetherness. The down sides of this house were the driveway was difficult to find the first time, the water pressure absolutely sucked and the bathroom was dark, small master bathroom, and several things that are provided did not work. For example, the lights above the bed would have been great for reading but they didn’t work. The waffle maker didn’t work, etc. However, we had an issue with the internet and the folks responded in a timely manner (though it was difficult due to lack of reception) and resolved our issue. Overall, a 5/5 stay. Despite some things not being perfect the house goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and serve our needs so the little things ended up not mattering much.

Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!

There were 3 generations enjoying each other & our time together at Lazy House – Grandparents (my husband and myself), son & daughter-in-law, & 3 grandchildren ages 8-16. We all loved this place! This was the 5th year we have rented a vacation place on the Oregon Coast, & Lazy House is, by far, the best place we have stayed! Everything worked as it should & the place was very clean. . . we know from past experiences that, even when promised, this is not always the case. The house was appointed perfectly, kitchen was equipped with anything you would need to prepare meals & more, a huge closet was labelled “library” & held hundreds of books, two cabinets contained games for all ages, the TV was huge, & the beds were comfortable. The hot tub was enjoyed by all on a daily basis, as were the Lazy House kayaks & pedal boat. The view from the back deck was fantastic, and watching magnificent sunsets became a family event. A family of deer visited the front entrance patch of grass several times during our stay, & always delighted our 8 year-old granddaughter. Location – perfect! Lazy House is a few minutes from Darlings Marina where we had great meals, & just ten minutes to Downtown Florence and Old Florence. All members of our group recommend Lazy House, and we hope to return there next summer. FYI – The bedroom with the bathroom has a dresser with 6 large drawers, but no closet, so pack accordingly or plan to put your clothes in the generous closets in other bedrooms.

Wonderful property

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay. We cooked at home for most meals and the kitchen was well stocked. The hot tub was wonderful. The kayaks were fun. Beds were comfortable. Location to town was perfect.
