Hidden Florence still exists! Villa Ventura is located in the most picturesque area of downtown Florence. An ancient pilgrim path takes you to Ponte Vecchio and the historical center in no time. Nestled just above San Niccolo, the oldest and most beloved district by the Florentines, you can truly enjoy the best of the countryside and the city. This luxuriously renovated three bedroom villa offers privacy, breathtaking views, terraces, gardens and a quiet hideaway. Erta Canina is part of historical Florence and the ancient monk path takes you to all sites in no time. The villa is located close to Piazzale Michelangelo and therefore it is on top of the hill, overlooking Florence. The gorgeous view of the duomo will make the steep path very worth the while. Alternatively, Ponte Vecchio is a quick taxi or bus ride away.
For longer stays please note that we require an obligatory weekly mid cleaning which will guarantee a perfectly cleaned home for you including a change of all linen and sheets. Please inquire directly with the owner for fees and cleaning schedules which will be coordinated according to your convenience.

We loved this villa! Views were amazing! The host was wonderful and communicated with us for any need the entire time. The interior finishes were all first class with a both modern and classic villa feel. This location is perfectly situated just on the hills overlooking Florence, however is very walkable to the city. Highly recommend this location, rental and host!!

Beautiful neighborhood, gorgeous home

We loved our stay!! It was great to hike into the hills, away from the dense crowds. The view is pretty spectacular and the house is really elegant and well appointed.

Family spring break

We throughly enjoyed at stay and Karin was a wonderful resource for local activities.

Even better in person!

We LOVED our stay here while in Florence! The location is the perfect blend of being close to everything but not right in the midst of the busy city. And the home and the views are just beautiful! Karin made everything so easy from arrival to departure and was quick to respond anytime we had a question. The hike up the hill may not be for the faint of heart, but its a short distance and we actually appreciated the walk after a heavy pasta dinner and multiple gelatos throughout the day. :) Thanks again for a great stay!!

Best view and property in Florence

Exceptionally well appointed VRBO in Florence. Small walk up the hill but easy uphill walking distance all the major restaurants and museums. The place is an architectural masterpiece. I wish I lived here.

This property is the perfect distance away from the hussle and bussle of Firenze. It is clean and very comfortable. You'll get your heart rate coming up the hill, but we loved the exercise.

Our FAVORITE VRBO…ever!

When we travel with our adult family, we stay at VRBOs. This is BY FAR our favorite VRBO! The location is within easy walking distance of the city center of Florence. Each bedroom room was spacious and no detail was overlooked in this GORGEOUS villa! There was a dining table inside, as well as one outside on the patio. We would eat outside, as it overlooked the Tuscany region! Simply BEAUTIFUL!

The perfect place to spend our last days in Italy

Karin is the consummate host down to the very last detail. From arranging a transfer from the train station to restaurant recommendations to coffee to wine and of course the air conditioning we were pampered and felt right at home! The villa is lovely and the neighborhood charming. We walked off many great meals heading back up the hill! Thank you again Karin!

Beautiful Home Close to Florence!

Karin was wonderfully helpful and made renting easy! The home is beautiful...and the path in to Florence is lovely. A little bit of a workout to return up hill to the home...but we found it a nice walk after dinner:-) It was a little challenging to get taxi services at this location- but otherwise we very much enjoyed Villa Ventura! Highly recommend!

My family had the most incredible stay at Villa Ventura and didn’t want it to come to an end! We enjoyed the peacefulness and serenity of the beautiful Tuscan countryside and the ability to walk into the city to explore. The villa itself is amazing. Lots of natural light, clean, comfortable, and stunning. Karin was a phenomenal host. She was super responsive and provided many great recommendations in response to our many questions. We appreciated her arranging our transfer to and from the train station. We hope to return to Villa Ventura.

Incredible villa

We loved this property the perfect place for the family to have our Christmas. Each room had it's own bathroom. The view is out of this world. The place was so clean and very well equipped. The town and location really lived up to being in Italy. Like others said the only downside is walking up the hill from the backside using the street was easy. And hard to get cabs to come to you so you had to walk into town which is not far away. The homeowner was great at communicating with us and coordinated a driver to the airport.

Exceeded all expectations

Karin was wonderful to deal with - she went above and beyond to respond to our questions and needs. This spectacular renovated villa is a short walk out of town. A beautiful area and a quiet resting spot after exploring busy Florence for the day. The 3 bedrooms we used were very comfortable, each had large bathrooms, and kitchen was well stocked. The patio area was such a nice spot to grab a glass of wine at the end of the day. Nothing negative to say at all. I highly recommend! Thanks Karin.

Lovely Home in Florence

We enjoyed our stay in Florence. The house is beautiful and the host is very communicative. As it is not in the center of Florence, it is a bit of a hike to get to most places on foot. I gave our stay a 5-star review, but would also like to point out that the house next door has 24-hour security in the form of armed guards. I was informed of this the day before we arrived. They are stationed in front of this property and are not always friendly. I'm not sure how long this will continue, but keep in mind that you may encounter them.
