「Quiet and spacious rooms. Didn't Ike they didn't have many options of places to eat inside the hotel or an place to purchase snacks or drinks inside the hotel. The restaurant was rather pricey. The hotel didn't seem very family oriented whenever there's adults making out in the pool while kids are swimming. Nice hotel but geared more around adults and couples.」

「I was unaware of the stairs to get to the rooms. I was given a room on the 2nd floor and there was no elevator to use to bring all of my luggage. The night before checkout, I called the front desk to ask if an Uber would be able to pick me up at 4:30 am and would be allowed onto the premises. I was told that I should have the pickup be the clubhouse and I could have a tram arranged to pick me up at 4:00 am. 「Howard Johnson goes back a long time. Always like the old world charm of the 50’s and 60’s styling. Only one small quirk was my shower knob did not work and it was broken. Fortunately it was stuck on a reasonable temperature to shower and used it as that. Breakfast was quite meager, very small lounge and limited food choices. But I assume it’s because of the limited space that had there. Overall it was alright and would go there again since my beach location in Clearwater was all but overbooked....

However, around 1 AM, I found a cockroach in the kitchen eating my snacks, and then found more cockroaches near the bedroom door, in the bathroom, by the kitchen sink, and in the closet. 「Staff was great. I made a mistake in my booking and they accommodated me. This is not a fancy place, but it is clean, and rooms are cleaned every day. My room had a coffee maker, microwave and small fridge.」

「I liked it because it was clean. I didn't like it for several reasons. First I had a broken window that wouldn't hook locked. I reported it to the desk the first night. He didn't have the time or staff to fix it so I put wooden hangers to keep it from opening. The next morning I saw two maintenance men. One of the men took down my room number and said they would take care of it. It was still broken when I checked out. When I got in the shower and closed the curtain I realized it wouldn't stay...

Gotta be careful of pricing, as they are not economical for extended stays. Convenient onsite parking in garage under hotel. Would be a bit tight for F-150 pickup though.....」
