「It was a great place to stay, its something new and different, when i stayed me and wife were the only 2 people checked in, we meet the owner of the property got a tour around the place, the garden area needs a little TLC on the path ways but we didnt mine this it was nice, the owner is extremely happy nice lady she was upbeat and chatting each time she saw us made sure we were okay and check if we needed anything. The room we had was amazing it had a rustic style look 」

「Interesting rambling hotel built into the hillside, resulting in multiple steps up to the bedrooms. Excellent restaurant and friendly and helpful staff. Minor niggles on the plumbing & shower: the cold pipe appear to be bundled with the hot and produces tepid water unless run for a long time - not ideal in a heatwave. The soap dispensers are about head level that make them awkward to operate. A lower location would be better. No basket or shelf in the shower for flannel or own soap or shampoo.」

「We were really impressed especially by the friendliness & attentiveness of the staff. Very welcoming. Room was spacious, well provisioned & comfortable. Glad there was a fan as it was a hot night. We pre-booked for an evening meal & it was excellent 10/10 for taste & cooked to perfection. Enjoyed our breakfast too & both meals were very generous portions. Would definitely recommend - only here for one night but would love to stay longer next time.」

「Lovely accommodation, clean, modern, pretty and spacious garden, safe off road parking. 3 very comfy bedrooms, nice living room with dining table. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher as well as utility room with washing machine. The road is a bit noisy with very fast traveling, but we soon got used to this. It wouldn't put us off staying here again. The location of cottage is close to many lovely attractions including Forest of Dean, Clearwell Caves and Puzzle Wood.」
