Sleeping Lion Casita was perfect for me, my husband, and teenage daughter for our long weekend trip to McDonald Observatory. Such a darling place and very comfortable and clean. We will stay there again-- thanks so very much!.

Great little property

A wonderful new little cabin that is SUPER clean. Great location. However, hot water runs out quickly due to the property having just a 1/2 tank hot water heater. So plan your usage accordingly!!!!

This casita is in a good location to drive the Davis Mountains and Fort Davis museum. It was clean and had all the essentials you need. It even had coffee for the guests to use. Bed was comfortable. The casita has only one room and a bath but the main room has a couch, dining set and TV along with the king size bed. The biggest negative is the bathroom is very small. It could use a shelf over the toilet to put your toiletries. Also needed is instructions on how to set the heat/AC. Suggestions are minor. Overall, this is a cute place to stay.

Great location for day trips

Perfect place to stay especially if you want to explore the area . We hiked the Davis Mountains, checked out the McDonald Observatory, swam in Balmorhea Spring fed pool and had dinner in Marfa. All super close by.

Spring Break 2024

Cute little house across from Ft Davis high school. Matt was super available and helped us with all of our technical needs like where the volume button was on the remote lol and what the Wi-Fi was. Wish it had a bigger hot water tank/heater and an umbrella for outside as the sun is a scorcher, but perfectly located, and just what we needed for a much needed vacation!
