“Front desk was nice, room was clean. A recommendation would be a water filling station or some dispenser in the lobby. Had a hard time finding water options to fill up my cup for traveling other than a drinking fountain.”

“Incredibly clean and very quiet. Looks and smells brand new and was very nice. Will absolutely stay here again when I'm in town”

“I booked this motel because it had very good reviews. Perhaps it was just my room that was dirty? Let me first say, the staff was very nice, the breakfast was passable, and the room was quiet and comfortable. Having said that, the floor was absolutely filthy. I walked on it for a few minutes and the bottom of my feet were black. It didn't help when I went to shower, there were water bugs in the tub. I thought at first it was a fluke, so I cleaned them up. Next morning same thing. I went to the……

“We stayed here several years ago. It was a decent place then. It's gone downhill since. Then at 11:00 at night they called about a billing problem after we had been in for hours. We will never stay at any Baymont hotels again.”

“Obsessed with this place!”

“Good”

“The room was very spacious, I loved the vintage looking shower. Water pressure was good and hot water was consistent. Didn't find an ice machine but that is all I was missing because the sweet old man who I think owns it made sure we were taken care of!!! He even brought us a microwave. It was the perfect price and distance to retreat away from working bonnaroo in Manchester”

“An old farmhouse environment decorated in Cracker Barrel decor. You can spend hours looking at the memorabilia. Nice front porch area. When they say pet friendly, they mean it. Even have a food and water bowl for your fur babies. Nice quiet area.”

“I was in town visiting my son at Sewanee do I needed something close to campus and small. This was perfect, less than 10 min away from campus and had everything I could need. From a washer dryer to a considerate assortment of charging cables. I will be visiting Sewanee many times over the next 4 years and I will keep this place in mind for all future visits. Thanks Emily.”

“wonderful and excellent.”

“This location was beautiful and secluded. Just what I needed for a solo getaway!”

“Our family of 4 and our best friends, also a family of 4 stayed in this wonderful property over the 4th of July holiday. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kiddos all hung out and slept in the loft area which was huge and has a TV! The kitchen was nicely equipped, the dock was nice and covered. We swam and fished off of it. The only recommendation I would make would be sure to also rent the golf cart. So helpful when carrying things down and back to the boat. Lastly, the host was……

“We really enjoyed staying at the Franklin House! It was comfortable, room was private, breakfast was very fresh and delicious, and Rachel was an excellent host.Cowan is a quiet railroad town - the railroad museum was very nice; John gave us an excellent tour. We enjoyed exploring both Sewanee and Winchester nearby. All in all, a relaxing, comfortable weekend visit - Thanks Rachel!”

“Great family vacation. Relaxing and the perfect lake house. Highly recommend! Love how we could rent the boat to make life easier.”
