Cutest little suite ever located one block off of main street. Centrally located near shopping and dining areas.Weather was perfect to enjoy coffee and a book on the patio. Did not get a chance to use the hot tub, but it was clean and ready for use. Will definitely book again.

Amazing hideaway

The location is situated very close to all of the shops in Fredericksburg and is a very easy walk. The actual rental was even better in person than the pictures. My girlfriend and I loved our stay there and can’t wait to go back again. The outdoor fireplace and sitting area are very cozy and with the privacy fence you feel like you are worlds away from the rest of Fredricksburg

They did a great job in developing a narrow property into multiple units. First class structure with nice patio/entrance area. Hot tub with fireplace was great. Bookended by a bank and church, its kind-of stuck in there - but it's all about location. Cost is pushing value with cleaning/vrbo fees, but our experience was exceptional.

Great Stay

This was our first time visiting Fredericksburg. Staying here was perfect! Perfect location - one block off Main St. which is convenient walking distance to many bars and shops. This place was like a retreat! So cozy! We loved the patio as well. We enjoyed the hot tub and the outdoor fireplace. (Unfortunately the hot tub wasn’t working the first day of our stay, but it was serviced asap.) My one and only complaint about this property is that the walls are not very sound proof. We could clearly hear our adjacent neighbors. Other than that, this was the perfect getaway! We would definitely stay here again.

Clean, functional, and the location doesn't get any better for a place in town. Literally right in the middle of the Main St. shops, bars and restaurants and 150 steps or less to the corner of Llano and Main. Inside, the bed is comfortable, the kitchen is small but functional with a small fridge, sink and coffee maker, and the oversized shower with two heads is an absolute dream. The indoor gas fireplace (which really puts out some heat) was a nice touch too. The patio is really spacious and private with plenty of seating and the decent size hot tub is great in the evenings after dinner and a long day on the go. For a smaller place, we never felt cramped probably because of the large patio area. Outdoor gas fireplace too that we did not use. Only negative we could think of is with the proximity to the center of town, there will be some traffic noise, not really inside, but definitely when out on the patio. Just the price to pay for being in such a central location. And only issue we had was the fireplace wouldn't stay lit the second night. So we called Gastehaus Schmidt and they sent someone out while we were at dinner to check it and replace the batteries. When we returned, it worked like a charm. Great service, which we've come to expect over the years. This is now our new go-to rental when wanting to stay in town. Absolutely loved it overall.
