Wake up in one of the best locations in town!

Shatzie's Warehouse is just one block from Main Street, placing you in the heart of Fredericksburg. This unique one-bedroom retreat, featuring concrete block walls and exposed concrete floors, is the perfect launching point for experiencing everything the town has to offer.

Relax in the plush king bed after a day of exploring, or unwind on the cozy couch and enjoy a movie. The property includes three off-street parking spaces, and pets are welcome!

This space carries a fascinating history—it was once the workshop of Shatzie Crouch, a pioneering woman and wife of the late Hondo Crouch of famed Luckenbach. When she wasn't spending time with Waylon, Willie, and the boys, Shatzie used this building to restore vintage cars and furniture. Imagine the surprise of locals seeing her roll out from under a 1929 Ford Model A, wrench in hand and a grease smudge on her cheek!

The décor celebrates her legacy, reflecting her time tinkering and restoring. Shatzie's contributions were honored with the Texas Star Award for Conservation Work and the Pioneer Award by the Gillespie County Historical Society.

We had a wonderful stay. The communication was great and the pictures in the listing were very accurate. The location can't be beat. We did not move our car once we arrived. The park can be seen from the front of the property and was very handy for walking our dog. There are restaurants of every kind on Main Street and also an easy walk. The Nimitz Museum was the primary reason for our visit and it is located right down the street. The rental itself was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was handy for breakfast, and it is not set up for major meal prep. This was not a problem as there are so many restaurants nearby. Highly recommend.

This was a perfect location if you want to explore Fredericksburg Main Street! Having the private driveway and being 1 block from all the shops was fantastic. Very unique space that we would definitely book again. Host was very responsive and helpful.
