"A lovely old property(150 years old) where they have kept some of the original features. I think it is due for an update in a few years but I hope they keep some of the original features. We stayed in the Coastguard cottages which were excellent but connected to the hotel with a covered walkway. The staff were excellent and very obliging. The evening meals were excellent although breakfasts were typical large hotel buffet style.i would still recommend it though."

"Good location, close to restaurants, central park area and beach. Staff were extremely good, very attentive and professional. Great breakfast. Level8 bar is nice and we’d have stayed longer but it’s a bit pricey (the menu downstairs is cheaper but limited, so we went out for drinks). Nice to have the option of a pool and it’s very well maintained but a bit dark and moody. Bournemouth is starting to feel a bit run down but the hotel still managed to feel a bit special."

"I’ve stayed here a couple of times now - usually with my wee budgie. I stay in hotels weekly with work but nowhere comes close to Knoll. It’s very friendly here and it’s a very special place, full of character and history. The food has always been consistently good as has the service and cleanliness. Also super that they have a tiny golf course, tortoise and tennis courts which you can use and the outdoor pool is lovely in the summer "
