Owners went above and beyond at every opportunity, including dropping 7 of us with luggage at nearby bus stop. Breakfast was yummy and thank you for accommodating our vegetarian request!! "Overall, we had a good stay but sadly the walls and ceilings are paper thin so you can hear absolutely everything including toilets flushing above and next door. We did request a quiet top floor room but this couldn’t be accommodated. Annoyingly there was a family above us and all we could hear was them stomping for hours on end. Couldn’t rest during the day either as the cleaners were banging around. However I guess ryokans aren’t built to block out noise and the room was beautiful. Comfy bed, good shower. We enjoyed a private Onsen bath overlooking the lake which was very relaxing and peaceful. The breakfast was also amazing although we didn’t have a clue what we were eating !"
